Default PNC Bank NonSense

Interesting story regarding PNC bank. Went to the bank opened 4 virtual wallets, deposited 25 in each, minimum opening deposit. They gave me the acct number, rtg numbers, and debit cards. 5 days later, I get a cashier's check in the mail refunding my 25 dollars for each account, saying that PNC closed all the accounts. Apparently they don't have to tell you why when I called.

Does anyone know why this would happen? Was I suppose to make a larger initial deposit? Or was opening 4 bank accounts at one time the reason. I am pissed at PNC bc not only they closed my accounts, they said I could not open a new one either. I know banks can close accounts without notice, but why?

What gives?? Does anyone know?

to many accounts at one time at one bank.
If you opened a person account and then a separate business account that would have been fine.

Did you add 4 PayPal accounts to the 4 accounts the same day?

PNC doesn't seem to have a problem with mismatched names. But perhaps adding 4 accounts through PayPal may flag something if they're brand new accounts. Maybe its a risk thing with newer accounts. If you opened 4 in person, and they didn't have a problem with it, I'd think its something else.

But then again 4 personal accounts the same day is a little

I never even used the cards or accounts for Paypal or anything at all, I was going to use it for Amazon deposit. They basically gave me the account numbers and debit cards for all 4 when I left the bank. So the accounts were approved and open when I left the bank. I put the folders and cards on top of my closet, was not going to touch them for 2 weeks or so.

5 days after opening my accounts, they send me a 4 letters with cashiers checks saying they closed all 4 accounts. Called them, even went to the bank. They wouldn't tell me the reason.

All of us agree that its because 4 accounts on the same day is probably the reason. I think banks have loss prevention teams that would rather close all the accounts than take a risk leaving them open. PNC, having no minimum balance requirements are probably the biggest jerks about it bc no minimum balance probably attracts more fraud and risk. They made me so mad today.

If you opened 4 virtual wallets then that is 12 bank accounts total. You have to admit that looks suspicious. This is the classic stealth mistake of too much, too soon. You have to be a little less eager, eager.

Lets be honest its stupidity. Hopefully they didn't file a suspicious activity report (SAR) with FINCEN (financial crimes enforcement network). This type of behavior is stuff that money launders and dumbazz drug dealers do.
