Getting a PO Box Return thru the Claims Process

So a blackmail buyer submitted an A to Z claim, saying the item is not as described. I emailed them back asking them to return the item to my PO BOX address for a full refund and send the tracking number, no response. Even offered to pay return shipping or prepaid label. No response.

My question is when responding to the Amazon claim, how can I make sure the buyer sends my item back without stealing it? I want to reply with please ask the buyer to return to my PO BOX address for a full refund. However, will Amazon claims be ok with me asking the buyer to return to the PO Box address? I cant ask the buyer to return to the address on file with amazon, its a stealth account, I dont have access to the address. I must get the return at my PO Box. Please advise on how I should respond to the claims department.

Thank you!

You can't, they can send you a brick and still get the item and money.

But if I ask Amazon to tell the buyer to send it back to the PO Box Address for a full refund, will that be ok? I cannot ask them to send back to address on file because its a stealth account.

I know they can pretty much send a brick, but they may be honestly trying to return the item. Should I just full refund and accept the huge loss on the transaction? Or reply to the claim and ask them to tell the customer to return it to the PO box?

You definitely try and get the item sent back to a PO Box, no guarantee of it.

Just fyi, if a buyer wins an A-to-Z claim, he/she technically does not need to send anything back...Amazon policy

I kid you not, I had a buyer claim he didn't "need" my item anymore - returned a stack of papers that was carefully put together to equal the same weight as my $200 item.

Worst part??? It was WIDE ruled paper. Who the hell even wants that!?

TLDR: Buyer got the refund - I got wide ruled paper at $1 per sheet.

I've found that you always lose... or you lose. It pisses me off to no end because in real life I would beat the little s*** head back to his mom's basement to get my item (no offense to anyone here in their mom's basement).

Once you know for a fact that a buyer is up to no good, make it seem as if you really do believe them and are giving the "benefit of the doubt" (prevent psychopaths from leaving bad feedback) and just refund their money. Prevents an AZ Claim and bad feedback, after which they will get their money anyway.

With ONE exception: If you have "proof" through something the buyer said that they are lying, you can call their bluff and potentially avoid having to get Amazon involved at all (and if they do - you may stand a good chance of defense).

A few weeks ago I had a buyer order QTY 4 of some very expensive items (total was $500). Last week buyer says "why did you only send me one when I ordered 4??"

My response was basically
""Your item weight was xxx pounds, QTY 4 weighs xxx pounds - which was the weight of the package plus supplies as confirmed by your attached label and tracking information. I also take pics of every bulk order with the packaging and label in case the buyer makes a mistake in inventory (which is what I'm sure happened in your case). Please check with your receiving and inventory department to find out where the recording error happened. However, please keep know that I have both Amazon Seller Support as well as civil legal recourse at my disposal if you do attempt to defraud me.

Your claim in the message above demonstrates that you admit to receiving the package, which is shown to weigh 4x the weight of a single item - so unless you are suggesting I filled the box with bricks (which would be odd to not have mentioned in your message), your claim is either fraudulent or a simple case of your mistaken inventory recording.

I will assume you simply forgot about the other 3 items, but if you do attempt to defraud me - understand that I will defend myself vigorously and do have a very strong history of orders through this exact same process.
"""

Worked like a charm (even though the weight on the label is automatic and I definitely have no pictures lol). No bad feedback, no AZ Claim.
