Article says brand gating just started in August. Average selling prices for any gated products are going to go up, driving buyers to other platforms. Just my guess for how this is going to play out in the long run.

Yes, and this will hurt all legitimate sellers on Amazon a lot. Amazon is about 120 billion of the market the second is ebay, about 82 billions, nothing comes close. So if u give up 1, your giving up like 70% of your income. Yankee, when you say don't sell on Amazon, simple as that, the next step is, so don't make a living simple as that lol.

How long does it take for them to review the documents? The only thing it said when I agreed to it the other day is that I am under review.

I have been asked also to pay this amount to secure rights to sell Name brand products.. Apparently the $1000 goes to the Brand xxx company and you are then a Licenced Reseller for them. Amazon does not get the money. At least, this is what I have been advised.
