Using iPhone as a Modem

If i have used my iphone as a modem to access my bad account on a few occassions, can I use it again for my ghost account? or do i have to get a new phone or a hotspot?

Try downloading "IP Utility" ios app. It locates your public and internal ip address, and will alert you via message, etc whenever your ip changes without the need of opening the app each time.

Since you do not know which IPs were already used on a bad account, I would advise not to use it to play it safe. Better get a fresh IP :)

Re: Using iPhone as a Modem

I've been using an at&t Hotspot for years, I kept track of ip's for a long time & realized I'm using the same ip's over & over again & the same ip's as everyone else on at&t. Mine usually locates me in Kansas city. I'm 1000 miles from Kansas City. I'm convinced ebay does not track by dynamic ip's . If they did anyone using Hotspot or tethering would go NARU immediately. All these ip's have been used over & over again. Now logging in on a home Internet service like twc, or Comcast were the ip stays the same is a different story. I dont & wont use one. Hotspot or phone tethering I believe is by far the cheapest option & 100% safe.

Your phone is fine, just restart or put it in airplane mode in between switching accounts, go to ipburger to check & see that your iP changed & you are good to go. You can keep track of your ip's if you like but I find it useless in that you will get repeat ip's within a month & they are the same ip's everyone else in the country uses anyway,
