Amazon US Account Creation: What's new?

It has been a while since I last opened an Amazon US account, and recently I've hearing a lot of talk on this forum regarding tighter Amazon policies.

In what specific areas do you guys see rising difficulties? Which of the following case is closer to the reality?

1. Higher detection rate for stealth operations: suspension/deletion right after registration, or failure to pass review after a few weeks?
2. Additional doc requirement: bank statement, ID, and tax doc, similar to the new policies on Amazon UK?

I ask this because if it is the case 1, then I can still experiment a bit to see whether I can beat the detection system (I have a lot of patience and decent experience). But if it is the case 2, then I would not bother since I see no alternative solution except **** docs, a line that I won't cross.

Note: I am specifically talking about Amazon US site (Amazon.com).

Regardless business or individual are requesting documents now.

I opened two accounts (Individual) on Amazon.com. Both are fine.

So when does doc requirement typically hit? What doc are required?

You'll see them within 30 days, it seems to be random.

What's the chances of being hit? I suppose some of the new accounts still get away without ever being asked for doc?

They have all been requesting them at some point within the last month or so from my experience (with clients as well).

Wow this sucks. The only work around I can see, is to legally change your name and move. Does anyone else have an alternative option to #2 besides fudged docs?

Can a business be setup a certain way?

Does amaozn also reject f●●● ID documents as paypal now getting clever they can find out its f●●●

They are verifying accounts a lot more closely than PayPal/eBay
