Got a new router/modem for my computer. Before I could clear the cookies and history a employee went to amazon.com and didn't login in. It showed the old account name. Will they link it with my loging to a new ghost account? Do i need a new modem? I don't want to link. We didn't login just went to amazon.com
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
For 1: You have not read or researched how to create new accounts.
For 2: You dont need a new router.
For 3: Clearing cookies and cache wont do anything. Cookies are pretty much permanent.
For 4: Yes absolutely they will link you even if you didnt log in.
You need to create a completely different USER ACCOUNT. Not just clearing cache. How do you not know this by now?
Who is telling you to buy a new router? Amazon does not see your mac address.
I did a test awhile back. Used a new IP address. Cleared my cookies, cache etc. Went to the same browser as my old amazon account. Clicked on the HELP section. Emailed them as a guest and asked them about info from the old account without even sending them any infomation. They knew exactly what account I was refering to even after clearing ALL CACHE, all fields, etc. They had nothing to go off of except for the same broswer.
So you sent a email asking about a old account . Who would do that? Thats how they knew it was you. That doesn't make sense. Browser has now tracking tools except for cookies and cache and IP. They can't see MAC
He said that he didn't give them any indication as to what account he was referring to, but they knew. And correct. They can't see the Mac address. That what Rook is telling you. Why would you need a new router then? But Rook, why a new user account? Last I knew, User accounts weren't good enough for Amazon. You have to use different computers or VM, right?
