Disabling review writers

So amazon today has disabled the option to write any kind of review today.

You can post the stars, but yo ucan't write any direct reviews. on it.

Perhaps they are reforming their review system to make it less prone to seller manipulation?

Just a guess. I couldn't find anything on Google about it.

I'm able to still write reviews and rate the purchase up to 5 stars on the UK platform.

Are you referring to Amazon US or Japan? (Not sure about them).

If it is the case, I can't see this being long term. Their review system is what sets them apart from many other eCommerce sites - heck it's why I predominantly buy via Amazon.

I was able to write a review just now. Did they not implement across the board yet? Is there an official notice?

was chrome and was on an item i never purchased from Amazon, but do own.

It's hard for me to see them just rid this feature since this is what makes them succeed and also unique

May have been a temporary glitch? When I saw your thread yesterday I tested it out and could only leave star ratings on my purchases. Now today I have gone back and can add a written review, including on the item I gave stars to on my test yesterday.

I'm pretty sure it was mainly on the USA platform.

All other platforms were not affectec
