Default Will Amazon allow me to sell on their platform?

3 years ago I had a buyer account with Amazon, I used to buy a lot using that account and never ever had a problem with payments, the last order I placed was for a pair of jeans (value of order was 100 €). I received the order and Amazon's attempt to book the 100€ from my bank account failed due to insufficient funds. I never paid that 100€ back and they sent it to a collection agency. I think the case is closed because I have not heard from anybody since like 3 years!

I know this was dumb and reckless as f, but I was hooked up on weed all the time in that period of my life and I really didn't give a s**t about anything (Not trying to make up excuses or anything, just telling what was going in my head at the time).

Do you think my chance of signing up with Amazon as a seller is gone with the wind? I am thinking about creating an Amazon account in the near future and I remembered this outstanding (unpaid) order I had with them in the past.

I have moved and changed my address 4 times since then though.

Anyone with similar experience?

EDIT:

I checked my e-mail for that Amazon account and they had sent me a message stating that the account is limited and as soon as the 100€ is paid they will reinstate buying privileges.

Do you think it's a good idea to get in touch with them soon, pay the outstanding amount and get that account reinstated before I attempt signing up as a seller?

Amazon had only known me as a buyer and never as a seller. So I think clearing the air with them with respect to that issue is a good idea to get my record clean, right?

What do you think is the best course of action here?

If you're accessing Amazon from the same computer setup, I'd pay the $100 back and give the seller account a try. If that doesn't work, you gotta look at going stealth.

why bother, when you have changed address. If it was buyer account before, they did not have ID. Plus you will have changed computers since then so no cleaning to do (apart from the cookies from that email you looked at) So better to start again.....

I have read endless posts about Amazon withholding funds forever. I think if you get caught selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items, you will never see a dime of that money. On the other hand, many sellers report double the traffic in comparison with Ebay and many have complimented the buyer-base Amazon has (i.e: less fraudsters).

I have not yet sold on Amazon, but before I do I will make sure to read every bit of info out there before I make the jump.
