Tor Browser

Tor browser is much harder to fingerprint. Is this ok? Will this cause a problem with Amazon?

Re: Tor Browser

No TOR browser is not good for amazon. It deletes all the cookies after each session, disables jaca script etc. You want those cookies.

Also it connects through the TOR network which means you'll have a new IP each time you open TOR which will lead to you logging in from France one day and 3 hours later from somaila and then from Malaysia. This will get your account (if you make it that far to open one) banned in no time.

There are people in this forum who stealth successfully on amazon, ebay and what not for years and vmware seems the best solution (or virtualbox).

TOR is a sure fire way of getting your account suspended. Just use a VM as suggested about then you can even go to the extremes of having a different OS (stick to mac or windows though), different browser, different screen resolutiosn etc.... and either tether or use a dedicated IP VPN for each account so no fingerprint is the same

Re: Tor Browser

@silrun, do NOT use TOR. Since you are in US, many better options for IP exist - dongle, cellphone tethering, etc

Re: Tor Browser

TOR is known for being used by people trying to hide their activities, location etc.
Amazon and ebay are aware of this and do NOT approve of such a thing.
AVOID using TOR with ebay and/or amazon.

What does that have to do with anything?

Tor may be built on top of Mozilla Firefox, but it's the way it works that sets it apart.

Websites know your using Tor when you access them, there's no way to hide that.

So as a result, the moment you make an Amazon seller account, it should get deleted right away if you use tor (i.e. you wont be able to login to it).
