Only a matter of time .I knew it would happen

Amazon (bozos) Are looking into getting into the banking system by having their own checking accounts! So what i believe is down the road If you want to sell on the site you have to use their checking account (bank) this will kill the stealth sellers This way in actuality the money never leaves amazon!! Just my opinion This guy wants to just level all aspects of business. And be the last man standing which is not good! It would be the world of amazon only thats it...bad news!!:rip:

Amazon is looking to take over every sector of every market and they've been doing a good job. Soon your health insurance will be with Amazon and you'll get faster service in the ER if you have a Prime account.

They monopolize everything they get involved with. Antitrust lawyers need to break up Amazon.

Some might say its a good thing down the road but I think its like and end all situation. I think we will be in trouble because just say they wipe out all retail and banking then watch gas electric and water it will be like a communist country!!

The paradox of pure capitalism...

I think they would be stopped before they get to that point. Lots of utility companies are state owned.

Today's sheeple dont give a sh1t, either. As long as they get their item in 2 days and can keep their sorry a55 selves buried in their phones, it's all they care about.

It is a joint venture between JP Morgan and Amazon.

More importantly, it is a long way from Amazon demanding all sellers using Amazon-branded bank accounts -- and mostly likely we will never reach that point.

Liberty-sounding people so often exaggerate stuff.

The irony of the fact they are opening B&M book stores and small product stores when they closed them down...and now prices are creeping up to the early days of Borders, B&N, etc.

I'm surprised they haven't been hammered yet with a decent anti-trust lawsuit. So far the only one that's going on is dealing with them buying Whole Foods.

They will over extend and pull back. We live in court of public opinion, they would buy companies before they throw there name on everything and receive the bad p.r

Look at the auto industry . One company multiple brands, is the industry standard. Consumer has bad experience with one brand and the company still has options.

I think Amazon is feeling victimized by the fact that sellers operating on the market have some degree of freedom. I noticed them doing something very shady in the last few months, that is outsourcing sellers after getting their supplier infos. Amazon literally copied 3rd parties sellers' products and labeled them as "AmazonBasics", after doing that the sellers selling the same stuff went out of business because people automatically chose the buy the product from Amazon itself.

This whole FBA thing was really a trick, they know everyone's supplier info and they built their inventory themselves. I think in the future we will see Amazon kicking most of the sellers out because yeah... they have the same exact product and they can sell it themselves (I really think this is a matter of time).

It's insane how one company is allowed to operate in such a predatory way, they drove thousands of malls out of business and destroyed god knows how many jobs. I am not against them growing, but I am against the notion that they can do whatever the hell they want and no one will say a word about it!

I hope this whole e-commerce scene will not be dominated by the only 2 players we have now. I think the best thing to happen to us all is Ebay growing faster and bigger, and a few other markets popping up sooner than later.

Re: Only a matter of time .I knew it would happen

We cant compare amazon and ebay side by side. Ebay is only a selling platform. In over simple terms, ebay is nothing more than that. Ebay is still growing and has been growing. Ebay needs sellers, just not bad ones or 10,000 in a market that only needs 1000

Amazon on the other hand is a seller themselves. They care only about amazon. Amazon has proven to steal 3rd party business and have only become more aggressive in the past years. Their downfall is they are over reaching in every manner and eventually, even the big name brands and distributors wont afford to sell on the platform. Prices will rise and other places to buy non amazon brands will become more attractive again.

Or lets hope so anyways LOL

If you pay close attention to Jeff Bezos, the guy is obsessed with talking about how he was an inventor from a very young age and how he loved making things in the garage of his parents...etc. It seems to me that there is a deep part in that guy's mind that wants the world to know he is a genius inventor, he is doing the whole Blue Origin thing to prove to himself that he is doing something "important". I bet he knows that Amazon is not that big of an invention that changed the world (as cited by many journalists who interview him).

Amazon in simple words is Walmart on the internet. AZ were good at coming up with a nice design and did a good job on delivery time - THAT'S IT!!

They are slowly killing the idea that they're a marketplace, they're becoming the supplier who's selling directly to consumers.

Re: Only a matter of time .I knew it would happen

They're starting to slack on 2-day Prime deliveries, too. Sometimes it takes me a week to get my ****.

Don't get me started on how many of my packages have arrived in a folded-up cardbox container WITH NO TAPE WHATSOEVER! Just has two flaps folded inside itself to close it.

What in the phuck is that all about? Wow.

A smart FBA businessman will incur the extra cost of an extra step, and ship it to FBA themself. Or whatever step prevents Amazon from getting the info.

I agree. Personally, I dont like FBA. It has has no control. I like to have control over my inventory and business. I am not saying it cant be good but not for me. I have chinese sellers who are pulling FBA and having me ship their goods. That says something.

Re: Only a matter of time .I knew it would happen

I like that you usually get the buy box with FBA, but agree with you on the control aspect.

Yes, that DOES say something. Awesome!

That won't make you able to circumvent them trying to snoop on your supplier info. Once you get hit with a restriction, they ask for your supplier info. For sure, you could send them ⊗⊗⊗⊗ documents, but if luck plays against you... You know how it is:spy:
