What exactly does Amazon want in regards to Inauthentic Appeals?

BESIDES INVOICES, WEBSITE, etc.

My original account was suspended several years ago. Recently I decided to appeal it (again). They replied back and asked me for invoices (new invoices last 365 days, they knew the product I was suspended for I didn't have invoices for), website, supplier info, etc etc.

Here's the original email I got:

Quote:

Your plan does not sufficiently address the complaints we received about your listings. To be sufficient, your plan must:

-- Include more details about the steps you have taken to prevent similar complaints.
-- Describe how you will prevent complaints, not just how you will react to them.
-- Focus on the types of complaints and how you will prevent them. Do not focus on specific orders or ASINs.
-- Address "Inauthentic" complaints, Provide details of "Suppliers" and "Products" that you may wish to sell in the future.
-- Show that you have taken responsibility for the complaints. Based on our investigation, these complaints were not caused by issues out of your control or anti-competitive behavior.

If you would like us to reinstate your account, please reply to this email with an updated plan. If it sufficiently addresses the complaints, we will reinstate your account.
I addressed all this, sent the invoices, the website, etc. (all legitimate invoices and my own actual custom made website, nothing "creative")

I kept getting this email back:

Quote:

Please reply to this email with a plan that explains:
-- The issue that caused the complaint
-- Steps you have taken to resolve the complaint
-- Details how you will prevent similar complaints

Here are a few things to consider as you work on resolving this:
--Sourcing: Are you sourcing the product from a trusted supplier?
--Listing: Is the product accurately described on Amazon? Have you ensured that there is no ambiguity and the customer is well informed?
--Packaging: Is the product in its original packaging as listed on Amazon?
-- Shipping: Have you taken all appropriate steps and quality checks to ensure that the product is stored, packed, and shipped appropriately?
I addressed it by stating that the issue that caused the complaint was counterfeit products, that the steps I took to resolve the complaints was getting legitimate wholesale suppliers, not getting goods second hand (retail arbitrage) and that I would inspect all goods in the future, blah blah blah.

Obviously there was a lot more detail than that, but that's the jist.

WTF do they want?

Re: What exactly does Amazon want in regards to Inauthentic Appeals?

Right now Amazon is the god of e-commerce and they're acting like it. Maybe in a few years when the situation changes you will see them reacting differently to such situations.

I witnessed a seller on eBay the other day that has been having Vero takedowns regularly for the last six months and his account is sill up. eBay is clearly turning a blind eye on that because they don't want to loose sellers to other marketplaces.

I heard Amazon is not known for being lenient about suspensions for inauthentic complaints.

I would suggest that you tell them that all your future listings and products will be vetted by a lawyer to insure that no copyright violations will occur again, using authorized suppliers to stock...etc

Good luck!

What type of product(s) did you sell? I.e. from
a Retail store on someone elses listing, not as described on yours or someone elses listing (counterfeit)?

Your plan is not addressing why the account is blocked so they are
giving you 1 last chance to address it.

post your response so we can also see what your telling them. Be careful, one more
incorrect appeal and they may no longer respond to you.

Re: What exactly does Amazon want in regards to Inauthentic Appeals?

Well it's quite clear from their email what they want from you.
Don't send me too many invoice keep is simple and just write you only wants to sell products from one supplier and attach their invoice

Basically they want from you what have you done that these complaint will not happen again if you explain them then write more Google it and I am sure you will find wording the more you will write batter chances will be
Pm me I will send you some appeal format which will i am sure help you
And finally they want from you that accept that these complaint were due to your fault just make story that you changed the supplier and use to check product before shipping to customer but on them days 2 staff was off so item were sent without proper checks and this cause the issue but now we went back to old supplier and assigned 2 quality control stuff for that so make sure no item ship to customer without proper checking etc they simply want bulls**t the more you will provide to them batter chances to get restored

To be honest from their reply look like they like to restore the account

If you have invoice, just resubmit the plan with some minor changes. They will accept it.

So from what I have noticed, the review team consist of people who just glaxze through the docs in less than a minute then they'll turn the roulette wheel.

It seems that you have given them exactly what they want? I wish I have a different answer to help you, but personally I'd call them and try to get someone who can help.

Of course considering all the docs you sent them are verifiable?

And your sure the wholesalers are legitimate? You considered contacting the manufacturer for a letter to sell?

The exact suppliers I used included Ingram and Baker & Taylor among others....both of these are well known legitimate wholesalers.

If you have ideas for other wholesalers I should use I'm open to hearing them.

Just keep sending what you have. Most of the time you can have legit invoices that get rejected. Also it all depends on how you write your response.

Read the bunga appeal format. Use bullet points. Grammar and spelling go a long way. Had a friend of mine keep trying appeals (English is his second language) kept getting rejected, even though he sent exactly what they asked for. I rewrote his appeal, bam accepted. Keep it concise, clear, bullet points. If you want I’ll help you write it up.

If the appeal is regarding an inauthentic policy complaint, yes, that's the most important thing.
