wouldnt they have sent an email if they suspected the account was hijacked?

nothing odd was happening on the account so I suspect they linked it to a previously banned account either via the dongle or returns address

That mailing address you updated, could that be the exact same address others are given to add to their own accounts?

If the only thing that changes is name that could be it
