Fullfilled by Amazon - who takes the hit when buyers dispute

Trying to weigh up costs and value of using fullfilled ..

Who foots the bill, seller or Amazon on fulfilled by Amazon orders if

1) buyer claims Item not received/delivered

2) item not as described - sends back exact item after they have used it for a while

3) item not as described - Amazon sent the wrong item?

What is the process for these will i as the seller be notified? Surely 1 & 3 its completely Amazons responsibility?

In my experience on ebay 3/4 of these cases are scammers but 3/4 of the time ebay/paypal side with them and i loose out as the seller. Are Amazon any better towards their sellers?

If your order is FBA then Amazon takes all the responsibility from start to finish.

This is correct. You have to realize when Amazon fulfills an order, they do not go this seller sent this exact item let's send this one. They go we have 50 of them just pick one and send it. So because you dont control what they send, and how or when they send it, nothing is on you.

There's always pros and cons doing FBA or FBM.

They do take some responsiblities, but there'll also be numerous occasions where you justr raise your eyebrows because they refund a customers only because a customer wants a refund without returning the item for example.

At least in the USA you have to monitor every FBA refund to make sure you either get the item back or they refund you...Amazon will debit your account as soon as the buyer requests a return even before they return the item. It is suppose to be automatic but it never turns out like that.

Just picking up on this again - so from what was said prior if amazon cluster all sellers same item together then pick any of the bunch to ship .. then customer decide to return it. Why are amazon taking money off me when the "damaged / returned item" might not of even been the one i sent in?

It was my thread so I thought it better than start a new one. So I could send a bunch of boxes of an empty but expensive item with mud for weight inside into amazon and they'd dispatch it to buyers and other sellers would end up taking the hit? That makes no sense practically or legally
