What happens if you get a new hard drive. Remove the old one and put the new one in.

Vicvelcro 07-24-2009 08:27 PM

Didn't get that far yet. I figure instead of dicking around with it any longer and burning up more bank accounts and cards, I'll just buy a new computer and replace all the pieces in one shot, then try again - LATER.

Buying a new PC isn't necessary. Like Orion says above, reformat! His suggestion is stellar too. If cookies and Flash cookies have been taken care of in recent past, then its obvious that Amazon does have something new and stealthy of their own. Does Aspkin have an answer?

Vicvelcro 07-24-2009 10:52 PM

It isn't cookies and flash. I reformatted and even tried different operating systems. See me earlier posts.

My two new accounts got suspended yesterday within 4 hours after listing the first item . I used a different computer with different ISP for each account but they still cracked me down . Don't know why :( May be the phone number I use , I think so

Not too informed on all of this but might the size of the city you're in effect whether or not your account is shut off? I'm thinking in a bigger city it may be harder for Amazon to monitor things.

I don't think that makes much difference to Amazon.

Well, I do think that it's more likely that Amazon will chalk up a new account to coincidence more easily in a big city. If you're in some 500 person town, a new account is probably going to raise eyebrows, especially after a suspension.

I'm in big city. Anybody from smaller city or town here can share some experience and stories about your Amazon?
