Default Amazon buyer account is on hold to verify card ownership

I placed an order with large amount on Amazon.com, a few hours later I received an email from Amazon requesting bank statement to verify the ownership of the card. *Bad thing is, the card is a debit card, there is no debit card information in the checking*account's bank statement.* Even though the local bank issued me a letter saying the debit card access the checking account, the verification team still replied the ownership of the debit card could not be verified.* I am worrying the account will be closed if I cannot provide the required information.* Any help would be appreciated.

Just call them, explain the situation and the rep will say to expect an email regarding this issue and 99.999% of the times its just a different type of request. It took me like 50 tries till they finally let me back in.

you can always link the actual bank account to your AMZN account and use it to place order.

Unfortunately there is no way to call the verification team, Amazon customer service can only submit a form to transfer information to them. The email from address-verification@amazon.com always says the ownership of the cards cannot be verified. The latest email from them indicates: "We have attempted to verify ownership multiple times. If you are still unable to provide us this information, we may proceed to close your Amazon account for security purposes." I cannot give them more documents about this issue, I am worrying they will close my Amazon account.

This is usa account? I guess they changed it. I use to send it 2x a day for a month till they finally let me in lol.

I have the same problemm My account is on hold more than 2 weeks. I have sent all necesarry documents + my bank address statement and card bills. They still couldnt verify my ownership of my mastercard. This is insane ! I cant even talk with amaon account specialists and regular associates are not helping.

If its a buyer shop you should be able to call in and then escalate to supervisor and explain the situation

If you're using your real information with enough patience you should be able to recover

Hi, did the Amazon reinstated your Amazon account? what exactly did you send it to them? I have sent my bank statement in PDF format more than 10 times and it is still on hold. I am getting the same dreadful email that they are unable to verify my card

why cant you guys just use the bank account instead of the debit card?

This is the issue with your card which you are using, avoid that card and try again if you still get issue then one by one change each step

Amazon are dumb, best to call them on your localised support number and explain the problem to them and as to submit another form of document, otherwise you can get creative and give them what they are asking for.

I'm afraid customer support can't tell exactly what statement do they need and what exactly should be reflected on it.
