Amzn fba
Today WSJ has a one page article on AMZN FBA,several AMZN third party sellers are willing to share how they dumpster dive to find things to sell on AMZN,so 2 WSJ staff decide to give it a try-
first they opened a store on AMZN and paid a fee.
They went to back of Trader Joe and Michael Craft store and found a jar of lemon curd ,stencil set and some papers.
They sent them to AMZN with proper labels.
THen a few seconds after they listed the items, they bought them and AMZN shipped them all back with AMZN labels.
More sellers come forward to reveal how they dumpster dive,go thru the markdown bins, buy from liquidators of store returns including AMZN returns ,how they clean, bubble wrap, seal and send them to AMZN FBA.
One AMZN ex manager in FBA dept said unless the items are on on fire,we will accept them !
AMZN now claimed they have banned items from trash,it is against AMZN Policy, but fail to disclose how they can tell if items are from trash.
Days later,WSJ received an email from AMZN indicating their store has been closed due to violation of AMZN seller code of conduct as they sourceds their items in a manner that does not meet AMZN high bar for customer trust and safety.
