my original amazon and ebay account still intact

What should i start off selling on amazon with legit account. I know this is broad question but just starting point. Sold on amazon years ago and just thought there listing prices etc was too much (sold tees). Just wanted to start here and start off right. Amazon i think performance rating is more strict then ebay too so every transaction is crucial.

Do i just go on amazon and start searching niches and competitors. Don't wanna deal with any Chinese products . Maybe purchase a whole bunch in good price but no dropshipping etc.

Is manufacturing items (tshirts etc) good on amazon or is that left to etsy etc.

If you're starting out with no previous sales/history, you want to start off with items that are not branded/amazon exclusives/or items also sold by amazon.com

Is amazon good for average joes.. Or is it filled by big fishes. When I shop on amazon it seems most are top sellers and they get most of the sales. I basically always sort by review and amazon prime lol
