Business Registration needed for new seller?
 

If i register an amazon account from outside the us, do i have to upload any proof of business registration?

I mean do i actually have to open a business in my country to sell a small number of items?

Or does that just kicks in if a number of sales is reached?

You can sign up as an individual or as a sole proprietor and only provide your photo ID and bank statement. Or, you can set a new LLC online, get your business docs, get an EIN and sign up as a US LLC, but you WILL need a utility bill for your business, to show proof, and I don't know how you can get that (other than a photoshopped one).

Registering on which platform?

You will absolutely need a residential IP from IPburger for this for USA.
I've been testing them for 3 months now and I know the ins and outs .

then for documents, you can just sell as an individual so you don't need to send in business docs

As you've been told in the other comments, create your account as an Individual seller, they would ask you then ( in case of requesting additional documents ) for a utility bill ( gas, electricity, water ... etc ), and a business license "if" applicable, but if you don't have it, a bill would be enough.

Individual account you cant sell much and around 3 to 4k sale they will force you to update to sole trader or company
