Question for Amazon gurus.

If an account is suspended for opening a 2nd account without Amazon permission.

How good is the chance of a successful appeal?

Both accounts were never used actually, just registered :croc:

It has been almost 3 years now since the 1st account got deactivated, I never got an email from Amazon saying the account was suspended, but when I try to contact Amazon via a seller central form I immediately get an email saying the case was closed because this account is deactivated.

I am now confused whether Amazon ever asked me to appeal or not, I am basically locked out of the account due to 2-step verification and can't access the notifications inside the account.

This is really messy, I don't want to send them a copy of my ID to deactivate 2-step verification, I don't want to give them a biometric fingerprint about my person in case they decide to keep the account shut down.

Right now all they know about me is the data I entered during registration (name, address...etc) and the number of a pre-paid credit card I used when creating the account.

They will never open 2nd account no chance untill you resolve the first account issue

Re: Question for Amazon gurus.

The 2nd account was successfully registered few months after opening the 1st one.

I asked them to delete the 2nd account back then by filling out a form, but now I am locked out of the 1st account due to 2-step verification.

Does Amazon always send an email telling the seller they have been suspended? I have never gotten such an email, the last email I got was telling me I can't list new items until I begin with a verification process (which I never did), but no mention of suspension or deactivation.

I am now literally trying to figure out whether I am suspended from Amazon or not, but getting to the seller-department seems like mission-impossible :-/

Well it has been 30 months since this happened, I never appealed.

Do you think I can appeal now in case I can gain access again to my account?

Just recover the 1st shop...

Whether you get it back or not depends on the reason it was suspended

The reason I suspect is creating a 2nd account without Amazon approval.

Starting April/2020 Amazon is allowing sellers to create 2nd accounts without having Amazon permission, hopefully that will make them more lenient when dealing with my case

1st shop wouldn't get suspended for creating a 2nd shop

The 2nd shop gets deactivated for doing that, not the first

Figure out why the 1st one was suspended, its in the emails and then appeal to recover it

This is the problem, I never got an email about a "suspension". I only got an email saying my account is under review and I need to being with a verification process in order to verify my identity and my business (I think this is standard for new sellers).

So if you never verified your first store, then you know what to do...

Get it verified and appeal with the information.

Sounds like you should have no issue getting the 1st shop back up with your legit info

Even with the fact that I opened a 2nd account after the 1st one was put under review for verification?

I am reading on seller-central forums that what I did means a death sentence for my future on Amazon :deadhorse:

Re: Question for Amazon gurus.

UPDATE:

I gained access to my 1st account again. So here is how it is now:

- First account: Can successfully login and see the seller dashboard

- Second account: When I login, I get: Not authorized, we don't have a seller account associated with this email address (I think this is because I applied for the termination of the 2nd account few weeks after registering it).

I navigated to the performance-notifications on the 1st account and there is only one message there:

Your account is under review, during the review process you won't be able to sell on Amazon. To confirm that you want to begin with the verification process please click the link below or send an email to seller-performance@amazon.com

There is no mention in that performance-notification of a 2nd account. I also took a look at the tab where violations are listed and there is none.

This is really confusing, the 2nd account was opened with the exact same info used for the 1st one. Could it be that because the 1st account was not verified/approved, Amazon didn't consider the 2nd opening as a violation?

It has been 2 years since those accounts were created, don't you think the bots would have caught it already? :suspicious:
