How can a supplier know if I sell their products on Amazon?
I've recently had an account where I purchased items from closed down, the specific reason was "the brand owner recognized that one of the products in my order was being sold on Amazon".
I'm wondering, how can they know something like that?
The usual methods are matching amazon addresses to shipping addresses and matching items ordered to items on Amazon. The first one won't work on my account since I make sure all addresses are different, the second one won't work since it requires a very unique list of items, which I didn't have.
I'm starting to think they mark their product somehow so they could know exactly where they came from, has anyone heard anything of this?
