Issue with active card checks? anyone

Are you having trouble with debit cards on amazon at the moment- had an account come up with the invalid credit card message- so far I have tried a Monza MBNA card, lloyds visa, and Virgin money MBNA all being rejected
they are all real cards and normally do not have an issue. Got a horrible feeling they are doing address match.
Spoke with each of the banks and they see the active card check and are not declining it.
Use stealth name and address but real card number - for 5 years this has been fine as Amazon did not check and I thought if they did do an AVS check it would be the bank that declined the card.
Or does the bank accept the card and then reports back to Amazon who the card belongs to and their address. Witch would not match the stealth ID.

With AVS check,it goes to ae data base and look for valid street number,zip code number,NO name of the cardholder is available on the data base.
it will return a code which tells if it passes or fails and the reason why

Have you tried getting an amazon VCC from one of the vendors in the marketplace?

OP, try what SaiJin suggested - it'll cost you a bit but worth it if you need to get business going

It could be bad luck you haven't had one get accepted yet

You could always try a VCC vendor as others have suggested
