Do amazon track IP addresses?

Hi, was going to create a new amazon account, someone i know who works for Amazon says they dont check IP addresses and its not even on their SOP and policy anymore. However i have seen a lot of people on here say its key to use a VPN service.

Should i have a new IP address?

If you are in the UK than changing IP is cheap and easy. No need for a V.P.N. Just do it anyway regardless of what you've been told, better safe than sorry.

That person doesn't seem to know how the net side of AZ works - this forum has lot of info for you that's more appropriate

I'm the paranoid type and I've been using their Residential IP with 0 issues so I'm sticking with that.

Yes amazon tracks your IP address and cookies and keeps them in a database.
