Amazon UK postal address verification

On registration a UK Amazon seller account, I just got the following message:

"we may verify this address by sending you a postcard"

How many of you have had this message on new registration? what percentage? 50%? Does Amazon do send the postal card out for each one who got the above message? or they just send postal cards to some of them?

All relavant informaion will be much appreicated!

I only had on few accounts our of 1000's if account is created properly they don't send any code

Hmm... This makes me wonder if the postal code mail thing is USA only for right now.

Thank you do you mean the below message did not appear at all on registration?

"we may verify this address by sending you a postcard" Or

Or it did show up but Amazon never really sent you a postcard?
