I am being sued by Amazon - Seriously need help

So right now I am in a lawsuit with a company and amazon for trademark infringement. I made some completely stealth accounts about 3 years ago. And with those accounts I sold some ⊗⊗⊗⊗ that at at that time i did not know. Eventually amazon got stricter and stricter, so I stopped selling it altogether, and stopped selling on amazon.

3 years later i am being taken to FEDERAL court by that company and amazon. I hired a lawyer (amazon seller lawyer, highly DO NOT RECOMMEND). He made a lot of false promises. Told me i should go respond to the lawsuit, which i did. paid him well over 15,000-20,000. months and months later, i find out that they did not bother to pursue the other people in the lawsuit so i am the only one in the lawsuit who responded and the only one whos getting f**ked over. Amazon seller lawyer, CJ, even went late to one of the court hearings and displeased the judge.

Amazon/the court kept asking me for documents. I did not keep any documents as it was years ago and was a failed project. I just did not bother to keep it at all. The conversations I had was lost because I had changed phone, and the app i was using only backups history IF YOU manually back it up yourself. I did not know this would happen, so i didnt even think twice about not backing the history up.

amazon/the court kept asking me to provide more and more documents which I did not have. They asked me to go get my bank statements, fine, i used my crutches (i was handicap at that time) and hopped my ass over to the bank on several occasions because the banks were closed over a year ago so it took several attempts to get the statements. I told the court/amazon that me providing the bank statements is useless as it does not show in detail what the payments are for. If i get a 1000 payout, all it shows is 1000 and does not show you which items sold it was for (i had many different brands i was selling and im being sued by one of them). i told them that amazons back end should show everything in detail. Even if i goto my amazon accounts, im unable to goto the transactions or payout settings as its been over 3 years ago so i do not see anything on my end, surely amazon has those info. Yet they keep asking me for more and more, which i do not have.

Amazon seller lawyer eventually backed out, asking the court to relieve them from me. They litterally took my 20k+ and didnt finish the job, and left me in a worse state than i was before.

i am in canada and being sued in washington. So i cant even hire a local lawyer..

I am very low on funds and I do not have money to pay for a lawyer.. i seriously need help. I am already looking at filing for bankruptcy.

Seems like selling knock offs always catch up to you sooner or later, this forum isn't really for legal help only for stealth advice. I doubt if anyone here can you help you.

you did not say what exactly amazon are requesting from you? I mean what they are demanding from you as final goal of their lawsuit?

either the whole story is fiction or you are not well informed , any lawsuit would clearly state what it requires from the defendant

If you're from Canada. The worst they can do is garnish 20% of your US income if you lose/ignore the case.

I have to agree with some of the others that responded to this thread: This story is either made up, you are being scammed, you are leaving things out or you are woefully misinformed about the situation. There are too many parts of your story that are inconsistent with reality. You have also been extremely vague and a bit theatrical.

i rather not say the brand here. and this is not made up. why would i waste my time making this up..

i had my bank acct on the stealth accounts

and it is true my lawyer never mentioned what they want. they are still in the process of discovery before they know exactly what they want..

any other questions? i really do need help here as i cannot afford to pay another layer after the 1st lawyer took my money and left

Having gone through something similar, I am inclined to believe that the whole thing is a fairy tale. You would not use a lawyer who deals with Amazon sellers issues, you would use an IP lawyer. Whilst in the process of discovery there would not be any court appearances unless your lawyer filed for dismissal of the complaint. The amount you paid seems excessive before you get into court, you did not mention if a resolve was asked or negotiated, usually both sides prefer this. When you say Amazon/the court are asking for documents, it would be the brands attorney doing this, unless you do not comply and the court compels it.

So I can be certain you are genuine please send me by PM the case number which I can look up as I have access to federal court records.

At this time it is highly unlikely you are telling the truth. Amazon is not legally liable for seller products and brand violations so why sue you?

legal expenses in the US are horrendous , for that reason any legal action would certainly start outside of courts where attempts would be made to settle the matter out of court and the defendant would have knowledge of what exactly they want from him
