Default Are brand approvals based on sales?

My account was suspended for about 5 months, and prior my sales were slow. Ive been reinstated however some of my best sellers are now gated requesting invoices. Originally, years ago I remember these brands needing approval but I was able to get approved instantly.
Is it due to the lost of recent sales that I am needing approval again? This happened to alot of items. I do have invoices, but they are old. Will they still get approved?

Could be either the loss or change of category authorization.

Old invoices ....how old?

It could be the items you sold now require additional approval

It can also mean they removed your prior approval and want you to reapply based on the cause of the suspension

Depends... but it sounds like they made a change where your category NOW requires more approvals.

Seen this happen personally, depending on brands/category it may become more stringent.

Brands especially, where we had approval prior, all of a sudden require additional documentation (invoices, safety reports, etc...)

PS: to answer the topic of the thread, no it's not based on sales.

It can be FDA regulations, government regulations, import/export, history of the items themselves, issues, etc etc etc.

Example: you were ok selling baby powder 10 years ago. Then someone made a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ formule out of hair... baby got sick, parents are angry... now FDA won't let it be sold without proper documents now.

Those happen all the time - one or few sellers of items screw up the "niche market" for future sellers
