| Unless you're a mega-seller who has the clout to negotiate fees then, given Amazon have a fixed fee structure, then we're all paying the same fees. Nobody is making them 'above average' returns. There is very little effort required on a computer driven sales platform to manage FBM sellers. FBA sellers clearly require more effort but they pay for the service.
I know forums like this are a hotbed of chinese whispers and misinformation but to say 'Amazon is not a marketplace for third party sellers anymore' simply isn't true. They put a lot of effort into attracting and maintaining marketplace sellers, indeed their share of total unit sales is currently 58%, an increase of 4% over the same period last year. https://www.marketplacepulse.com/sta...arty-sellers-1
If you're serious about making money then to dismiss Amazon is sheer madness. IMO it's the best platform by a country mile, as an exclusively FBA seller the returns for the effort I put in are almost too good to be true. |
