Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

Getting ready to pull the trigger on one re-verification and still trying to decide the best route. I have a stealth account that's is on person's name and I have NO ID or Social or any other info on this person. So I have two ways to go:
1. Change .pdf on bank info to match this person's name and use my own name as point of contact with my passport and company address so it doesn't get linked.
2. During the re-verification process actually use a new LLC info as a Business Entity (matches the amazon store name, and is owned by myself as well as the guy who's name is on the Amazon Account) and use my own passport as a point of contact. Change the bank statement .pdf to this LLC name with the guy who's name is on the amazon account listed above the LLC, as well as my name listed above the LLC. That way they have everything they need - LLC with EIN that's legit, the guy that owns the account is on both the LLC and the bank statement, the LLC is on the bank statement, and me as a contact person is both on the bank statement and the LLC? If this flies it will pretty much become a legit account as I can remove the other guy from the LLC later.. The downside is that I am pretty much changing everything on the account - legal owner, point of contact, etc. which may raise even more red flags. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

I have not been asked either to verify my identity or bank account yet for Amazon USA BUT assumme I will be .....is there anyone else in my boat ?

ps cannot write private messages yet alekov as yet to send 25 messages but good luck let me know how it goes. I get the impression Amazon does not really care and is just doing this to satisfy gov regs which helps a lot. Also just imagine how many verifications each seller rep has to do a day?

pps I am wondering if may be because I am a non resident with a UK address so are doing people like me last? Anyone have any thoughts?

ppps can anyone confirm succeeded with a little creativity?

I think option 2 is better. During account re-verification you will pass even with LLC name only on statement. When you have bank verification request only that's when they want account owners name on the statement. Just make sure the address matches the legal entity address you have in amazon.

Good to know ......could I ask what you mean by stealth docs in as general terms as would feel comfortable with ..

Curious why my turn has not come up yet too ..I guess must be imminent ..I am in the 2nd wave I guess

ps when you say in UK do you mean a amazon.co.uk verification or a non res amazon.com verification?

Are you considered a high volume seller? If its a new account your info may already be up to date.

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

High volume seller been going for years

I was just speculating that Amazon.com USA may be doing all the resident USA selelrs first as likely to be easier / faster to do as are the massive majority of sellers.

Then do the relatively small number of non USA sellers afterwards who are likely to have a much wider variety of IDs, bank accounts and general issues to deal with.

Of course I could be completely wrong

The INFORM act deadline is June 27 to be complaint so they would have reached out to you already I think.

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

I totally get what you are saying but defo NO

in the Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/Amaz...erPerformance/

several sellers also said not contacted ..I think Amazon may be doing it in waves and trying to make each wave more automated

Consensus thee is about 50 percent contacted so far ..for what that is worth

However I agree running out of time

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

What do you guys use to scrub meta data from the bank statement .pdf? I looked at the info on the file after I edited it, and it shows that it was opened with the .pdf editor. Tried going to pdfyeah online for free scrubbing, but now it says file last opened with pdfyeah (scrubbing software) so I'm thinking it also looks sketchy if Amazon looks at that lol. Any advice?

I use pdf yeah all the time and send to amazon without any issue

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

What about printing bank statement and then annotating or combining two statements and then rescanning. The metadata would then look totally innocent I assumme.

Ideally using a computer set up in relevant name ie name of account holder

What do people thinks

ps not a computer expert

so you're saying basically they don't verify what you tell them? Did you make up literally everything? I have 4 stealth accounts and 100k in pending disbursements with a ton of FBA inventory for each account. I really can't afford to mess this up

My listings went inactive on Day #61 . This was the message that was shown in my seller account information section: "To protect our stores, Amazon needs to re-verify your identity. You have not completed the re-verification process and hence your account currently has limited access to Amazon Selling Services. You need to complete the verification to regain all accesses. Click the link 'Start re-verification' below to start the process.
Please provide the following information to gain complete access"

I was still able to request payment disbursement afterwards and remove products from fba inventory though. Basically just new sales were put on hold until the verification is completed

Ya definitely , in the previous 60 days i sold large portion of my fba up inventory at discounted price and i thought i would be at risk of having some funds stuck there incase i failed verification but this allows me to collect all money before proceeding with verification. Already pulled all remaining FBA inventory, just have one small payout left

I advise anyone who is planning to submit manipulated docs to go this route (US marketplace sellers) because if you fail verification for that reason you will not be able to pull fba inventory or request disbursement.

SaiJin 05-22-2023 06:48 PM

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

I've heard of people's accounts actually getting nuked completely after the 60 day period if you don't verify.

Again, don't take chances
