What is this sh1t? Just went I thought everything was going good in life I get hit with this. Anyone ever seen this?

I'm concerned it Amazon, if I don't type something in exactly like I did when I created the account it's toast....I forget if I did individual or business. I am technically a sole proprietorship because I use my SS number and not an EIN number. Should I put business or individual?

And why are they doing this? Did something scare them? Account has been running clean so far nothing negative.

amazon usually ask for new verification every year , at least in the UK they do , they may request different docs every time

when you open an account,you should write all the information used to open an account and keep it in a safe place,especially if it is a stealth account

Personally not experienced that in the UK but I also don't sell on Amazon in hugh bulk

They just want to make sure if anything has changed,like do you still own this account,ten years ago,they did not ask for photo document

No, they don't ask verification every year....

Maybe for you, but not in general.

There was a sweep throughout amazon since last week, even on accounts that have been around for 10+ years and FULLY verified.

I'd guess this will stop within another week.

Shops that were never video verified have been getting requests to video verify for the last 6-12 months. Not all of them but many reported old shops started requesting it.

Amazon is probably working a backlog of partial verified shops from years back and getting everyone fully verified and up to date... Considering all fully USA shops now require video verification + postal code verification before you can even start selling

Did anyone with newer account get this?

we know few people with very old account 12 years got this

They are not video verifying though, just passport & bank statement & if you fail they steal your funds so be careful

they ask at least for confirmation of UTR or proof of address regularly

in the UK verification is permanent , it may not involve ID but tax details and proof of address are checked on all sellers regularly , if not once a year then once in a couple of years. in any case confirmation of valid tax details and residence are required again and again

Just got hit with these on some of my old accounts. Does anyone know who can produce the docs that will work on Amazon?

Yep they do ask for POA or UTR confirmation here and there over the lifetime of an account. Not experienced it being asked for each year though but again not a bulk seller there

the TO showed surprise in new verification but this is normal on amazon , I know a couple of people who even had their very old established accounts suddenly shut down , they just got a message about new verification , uploaded completely legit docs and then got suspended

I suspect such problems also occur if amazon decide that they do not like the shop's business model so they request fresh docs and suspend while docs are only needed to make sure the updated personal details are in the system to prevent them from being used again

Just to confirm in case there's any confusion, Amazon definitely do not re-verify accounts every year.

Any subsequent clap-trap about 'sellers they know' who went trough the re-verification process legitimately and were still permanently suspended is untrue misinformation merely do try and double down on their earlier errors. :clap:

They don't. I've got multiple accounts and i've only had to do that more then once for one account.

wait and see , they will be asking to confirm details , it is only a question of time. on a couple of accounts I have that every year , on other accounts it happens rarely but requests for more docs will come at some point

it is not errors for sellers active for years , it is rather review of selling activity

What about for accounts that are now video verified? Like the new ones in the past 2 years

I have 10 accounts. It's only ever happened to one of them, so I don't have to wait and see.

Yep I run a few as well - again none selling in major quantities and while i have had a POA asked 2 times in a few years its not been anything major

What information should I enter in box "company registration number"? It's stealth account with just EIN I don't have llc or business license under it.
Please help

did you register the business with the state and city?
doing business as DBA ,or getting a retail certificate from the state to show you are a retailer and should not pay sales tax on any item you bought for resale

Have had my account for 7 years and just got this too.

Not sure how to proceed?

I did the first and last name as the companys 2 names when originally signing up which matched the S Corp info , bank info and EIN. Never entered an actual person on there. I assume there are others that went this route too.

Not sure what to do.

Got this same message on two accounts. One from 2015 and one from 2017. Are they randomly selected or are they eventually going to go through all accounts?

amazon have been doing it across the board , it is unknown whether everyone will be hit but I do know at least two people who had very old and very well established accounts shut down this way without further explanation and those accounts were not stealth

they just requested new verification but I suspect it is in fact a review of selling activity because they rejected absolutely genuine docs

You'll never know exactly what they are doing, but a lot of verified old and new accounts are being asked to reverify.

It is good practice to ask old accounts to re verify themselves,as one does not know if the original owner is still active?

i got none of those things. it's stealth account made up name and EIN for llc on my real name and SSN. LLC wasn't open with any state. Accounts are like 9 years old
