I just go hit by this.
After I submit all my true identity documents, AMAZON now saying cannot verify my account because of this.
"The number that you entered in Seller Central when you registered your account does not match the unique ID number in the identity document. Update the number in Seller Central to match the unique ID number in the identity document."

I created this stealth account 10 years ago with other ID info.
But now I want to update all the info using my real identity to avoid future issues.

Anyone has experience on this ?
Am I in trouble? Or I should be able to update all account ID info to my real identity ?

AMAZON provided contact us link in this email though.
But before I contact AMAZON, I want to get some help and advice from you guys 1st ..

Any one could give me your thought?

Yes, the EIN and SSN on the account were different when registered.
However, The registered EIN tax number was filed under my real LLC business for years.

If I explain to AMZ that the old SSN was from my old friend who created the account for me long time ago, and we no longer have contact, but I have been filing tax under my real business EIN for years.

Would this work for AMAZON to update my identity to my real current ones?

I would think they would close the account if you suggest it was opened by someone else.

Can't you open a new one with your real details?

amazon do not allow to change owner unless it is a corporation whose owner is changed

How about if I tell AMZ that this account was created by my prior staff who already left the company and provided document that this account's old registered EIN (company tax ID) was under my name with my SSN on it.

Anyone experience this with an account that's enrolled in the Amazon Account Health Assurance? I wonder if that offers some protection from this? My 2 accounts were not enrolled.

I hope you haven't given them your personal documents since you can just use that to make a new strong account!

So I haven't submitted anything yet since I have 60 days to do it and I can still list, ship and get payouts until then while I figure out what to do.

I started a Corporation (s-corp) to start a stealth account

I used the company name as the first and last when signing up 7 years ago example: TOOL STORE as the full name. And the bank account matched that exactly as well.

And I used the S-corp EIN for the tax ID. No issues at all since.

However, now during the re-verify process, PAGE 1 is the company info (fine). PAGE 2 is point of contact info...

Problem is, and the reason I started this account as an S-corp and spent all the money setting it up, is because my personal account got suspended 12 years ago. And I am listed as the owner on the S-corp documents.

No idea what I should do. Should I just throw caution and make me the point of contact with my real info and just hope for the best. To add a bit of info my old selling account that got suspended never had a SSN, drivers license or anything attached to it other than just my first and last name. I mean I guess a lot of people could have the same name as me? Since then I have completely different addresses and such.

OR should I just add one of my friends as a partial owner of my S-corp, such as a 5% owner just to get their names on the documents and use them as a point of contact?

Im just wondering exactly what Amazon will verify as a Point of Contact

Does amazon allow us to change the point of contact? Or is this against their policies? Assuming It might be ok as they give us the option to edit it?

Hi, Guys, You know what ?
I think AMZ allows me to update my contact info in seller central.
I just did it and updated all the info matched to my documents.

Let's see how it goes ?

You need to answer their message and ask them to unlock the update page for you to do it. (Full name, SSN - unique ID number ... address ... etc)
But I heard that it's not 100% that AMAZON would allow for update, don't know what the trigger is though.

Let's see how it goes then ....

I think there are couple of points that AMZ checks.
1. Account seller performance
2. Bank statement matches the ID documents and AMZ's payment disbursement.

If you have a good seller performance and present a bank statement proves that AMZ payment disbursement flowing in that account. AMZ knows you are the person who actually running the account.
AMZ is not FBI nor IRS, they don't care if you used stealth info before, they just want to make sure the person who owns the account is actually the person running the business and get the money flows.

Yes, I was suspended at 2010. This is why I used stealth info from then.

You won't see it until AMZ unlock the page after you submit documents.

You shouldn't give them this much credit... it's good to be paranoid with amazon.

Activate your acc and see if the reinstatement sticks for the next 2 week.

Just got his re-verify email on another account from 2018. That's the 3rd account within 3 weeks.

I don't think a request in AMZ seller forum would help.
Wait till you get account re-verification notice, submit your documents 1st, then AMZ will let you know if you could update the tax info (prior stealth contact info. SSN, address .. etc)

Unique id number means SSN in US AFAIK.

That depends.
Read this message AMZ sent me.
"The number that you entered in Seller Central when you registered your account does not match the unique ID number in the identity document. Update the number in Seller Central to match the unique ID number in the identity document."

See ? AMZ wanted me to update the number in seller central, instead of resubmiting documents.
If you see this in AMZ's message, it means AMZ already unlocked the page for you to update Tax info (unique number - SSN, address, ful name)

But there are various messages from AMZ according to sellers forum discussion, some of them are simply rejecting your request.
Something like "You are not authorized to change the contact info" or asking you to resubmit documents.
And these mean bad .....

Like I said before my account was suspended 12 years ago. My stealth account just has a S Corp EIN and company name as the first and last name.

So on my account the point of contact is the name of the company and the EIN. But when you fill out point of contact in the reverification process, it asks for a human name. I don't actually have a real point of contact on my account. So I imagine I'll get rejected at first and probably have to prove a new point of contact is the owner.

Yes, I am working with my AMZ accounts all morning, I don't see the limited access message any more.. all cleared, orders flow in and I fulfilled them.

I have another 2 accounts to go and I am waiting for the re-verification to come patiently and watch my steps
