I'm think this was triggered by changing bank account last week (we are beyond 3 day hold). Or do Amazon automatically reverify when ID expired? Haven't read about it before.

Ok I wanted to update on this.

I logged back in and was able to disburse available funds. Not sure why I couldn't last night? It was well beyond 3 days from updating my bank account for deposits.

I will try to disburse other funds in 2 weeks before submitting verification documents.

I spoke too soon. It went through the motions of a manual disbursement (on screen confirmation and available funds defaulting to zero)....but I didn't receive email confirmation and logging back in I can see nothing has changed.

It looks like in this case they won't be disbursing until after verification is complete

Makes sense on their end

Well, on page 4 of this thread it would appear everyone could still disburse.

I carried on selling for a week or two so have more funds locked up now :violin:

Been there many years ago now.

Same experience, went through the motions of disbursing funds only later to find out it failed. it will allow you to 'disburse' again too.

I'm sure they do it deliberately to twist the knife.

I think you're a slightly different case to the others. You're being asked to verify a recent change. The others are being asked to simply re-verify existing info.

Some of the posters on this threads aren't even Amazon sellers, they simply post for the sake of it. Same with most threads nowadays just full of inane waffle from those who haven't created an account or sold online for years and years.

It you all read amazon forum it’s been full of issues recently they been holding funds for various reasons even though on the phone seller support admitted that they getting huge calls emails from sellers and they simply don’t have resources

I heard it’s around 24k eu sellers blocked due to vat issues and then bank account verification separate

Yes, but if they are rejected are the funds lost?

Usually you have a couple of tries before they really shut you down.

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

FML I got hit with the same. 60 days to re-verify. Account is 5-6 years old, it was opened with a LLC that I never filed for, just got EIN on it. Point of contact was a made up person, never asked to be verified, no ID ever submitted.

It's a major account with tons of expensive FBA inventory and money. Disburses to a personal bank account in my real name. The way I see it I have 2 options:

1. Order an ID in the name of the person used, and try to get it through. Doctor up the bank statement to match the name, address, etc.
2. Try to use my real info and real ID as some people suggested, which was suspended 10 years ago but never with SS or ID, and have a different address now.

Maybe I should start recalling all my inventory just in case? So I don't get caught and lose inventory AND money in 60 days? I plan on waiting for the 60 days to pass before I attempt to re-verify hoping disbursements still keep coming and inventory sells down a bit? Super stressful!

Re: Action required: Re-verify your Amazon seller account

Quick question, anyone ever manage to order an ID and use that to re-verify? Do they have a way to figure out if it's real or not? Supposedly there are services out there that provide scannable working IDs? Is that an option or not really?
Also doctoring up the rest of the bank docs and etc to match what they are asking for? They can't really see the real information from your bank statements or verify the info correct?

if you have never provided any ID previously for verification and are at a new address you should just change the address on the account to your legit address and put your real name as the point of contact and submit your real ID

Is it true Amazon shares info from .co.uk to .com?

I believe they do.

Whilst I have no personal experience there have been a few posts on the main AMZ forums to suggest they do. i.e. Suspension on .com shortly followed by suspension on .co.uk.

I know this isn't quite the same as you asked but clearly there's data sharing.

Don’t know why people still taking such a big risk on amazon accounts, as soon you send them @@@@ ID they will shut your account and freeze your funds and inventory

You will never able to get funds and inventory

It’s message for all those who still using Stleath ID’s sooner or later they will get ban with funds frozen

Even in recent days amazon gone more strict

Agree in general, but what is the alternative? Some of us are stuck with several stealth accounts and our personal info was already used and suspended. What options do we have short of leaving the business and getting a job?

I'm going to try forming a new LLC with a virtual mailbox address, get a business account, and then using my own name as a point of contact and maybe submitting my passport for verification if they ask, but not sure if that would fly. Kind of sucks to spend time and money on forming new LLCs and getting EIN and all that just to find out they don't like it and it doesn't work.

Do you believe this will work? I'm just so afraid to go that route just to find out that now the account is linked to my old suspended self from 10 years ago..

I haven't sent them an ID ever, and my personal account was suspended more than 10 years ago. I do have a new address. But why change the address when the LLC address is already good? Or you mean not the company address just the point of contact name and address?

You don't need to change the address. Only point of contact info.

Just the contact info.

I'm currently a week into my asking to reverify while I figure out whose name to use as point of contact on my business account.

It appears some people are using their personal name even with a suspended past account and getting away with it. A strategy I'm considering. Although I'm guessing it's if you're suspended account from years ago never had your SSN or driver's license associated with it. And if you've moved since, it's basically just your name that is connected to the old account. And a lot of people can have the same name.

I have it on 2 accounts and actually unable to ship to FBA in both accounts. Let's see if disbursements still come as scheduled.
