So even if you login to your account, click on the gear then click on account info, that big yellow bar on top of the page is still not showing?

No there is no big yellow bar like with the account re-verification they did earlier. This is bank verification. The link for this is in account info - deposit methods - manage deposits. You should see a verify button next to each bank account.

Yeah, still no verify button in manage bank accounts page for my accounts either. Lots of people posting in the Amazon forums about it too, so hopefully Amazon just backs off, we shall see.

Isn't the fact they're doing this by asking the seller for a bank statement kind of a good thing?

It means they can't verify the information directly with the bank

No fox for that, they upgraded the system and targeted the sellers where their account name does not match

From some posts from amazon moderators in the forums, they are saying to check back May 1st for the button to reappear and submit info then.

I went to bank today and was not able to change existing bank account to the matching LLCs on the Amazon accounts. So I just opened a new bank account for each of my LLCs so that the name will match. I will get creative with the statement for now and then once I pass that I will switch over to the new bank account closer to the end of the new bank account's first month so I'll have a statement available if requested. And in the future I'll just open a bank account for the LLC right away to use for the Amazon account. Hopefully it all works out.

Any solution to open banks fast in USA? Bank of America takes 2 hours to open a single bank

From what I read online the IRS is forcing all marketplace sellers with LLCs to use their personal SSN instead. Check this article

All these verifications are because of this INFORM act that they passed.

That's for single member LLCs, so let's hope Amazon figures out that there is a difference and will allow for different requirements for multiple member partnership LLCs. Knowing Amazon, that might be a longshot :tears:

The button is now showing under manage deposits page. My question was if we need to submit the complete statement or just the 1st page with account holder name, account number, address? Also, can the rest part of the statement with debits, credits and payer name etc be removed from statement?

Well the verify button is finally there, but of course when I click it, it shows a different name there then the current business LLC on the account. I guess because it was a stealth account created under a different name originally. It shows the original name.

So, I guess I will need to be creative with the bank statement and make sure it shows the original name and not the current account business entity LLC

Just a reminder that Amazon can’t tell whether your LLC is a single member or not based on the ein alone. I filed my LLC as a partnership with amazon even though it is a single member LLC specifically so I would not need to add my ssn.

I got the bank verification mail on one account which had matching business name for which verification is in progress.
Two others got also hit which were video verified and were purchased.
Any idea if creative bank statement works? I cannot change the account holder name on amazon when we click verify; it shows the old name that was used to open the account.

Creativity won't work they will detect it immediately and you will cause more issues for yourself as any LLCs with a similar address will then be flagged.

I am confused, can someone elaborate regarding getting creative and Amazon detecting it immediately? How? I mean editing a .pdf is a walk in the park, and you can scan it to make sure the file is clean. How in the world would Amazon detect it right away? They don't have access to this information correct? As far as I know they only see the account number and routing number, this is why they are allowing mismatched information in the first place, if they could verify that no mismatched name/address on a bank account would've ever worked. Did things change in the last so many years where they can now somehow see and verify the name/address of the bank account?

Another question, what if the bank account on file is in the name of the point of contact rather than the LLC on file? Would that go through?

I appreciate the response but what is this based on? Does anyone know why things wouldn't get past through? Or are we just guessing that most likely they won't get accepted? I'm just as confused as before. What is the reason that it wouldn't fly?

1. Amazon has a way to check if bank number matches owner name and address.
2. Amazon has very advanced tools to detect if a document has been altered.
3. Amazon checks the file you send them to find out if it's been edited.
4. We have no idea how Amazon knows but they always do.

So far the way to go it seems is get creative and use the name it wants to see on the verify process. As one person here has had success going that route. I will likely go that route also soon, but I'm monitoring the amazon forum and this forum for more info first. So far amazon seems to be trying to figure out what to do about the situation of LLC or Corporations with bank accounts in corp name and the verify process wanting to see the original person who opened account. I'm waiting it out for a little bit to see what happens.

Can anyone confirm that Amazon can’t see the address on the bank


We had 5 accounts linked after submitting this & all 5 were at the same address


Triple checked everything. only suspect so far is the bank? If not the bank amazon has a brand new way to detect users with multiple accounts as these accounts operating the same for 6+ years

In uk they can match the name, banks share the name of person/company

What bank was this? Check your bank’s privacy policy. Mercury says in their privacy policy that they share info with amazon and some other banks are very vague.

Was it one bank, one routing number with 5 different accounts on it? Or was it 5 different banks, each with a bank account, however, the name and address of the person on the account was the same on all 5 bank accounts?

I have an individual account on Amazon but have been sending to a business account not in my name.

I wonder if I should just change my deposit method NOW to a personal account in my own name which is the same as in Amazon as the legal entity.

Would this be a good idea because it would seem to get around the whole mismatch of name issue.

The business accout Amazon pays into to is a joint account and I dont want to create any additional issues.

What do people think?

ps not received bank account verification notification yet and this is for the USA where Ihave a non resident US account

pps ..I am curious if non USA tax resident Amazon accounts are being asked to re verify as I have not seem any posts about this...

Did they immediately link them? or after you were successfully verified? I've successfully verified 3 Chase accounts
