| grach | 07-07-2023 02:12 PM | Account linked to some other unknown acc. Hello everyone.
Stealth account, quite old (over 2 years old), purchased from a reliable source on aspkin. Today, it was suspended due to its connection with another account that I am unfamiliar with.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation before, and if so, how did you handle it?
I utilized a fresh IPburger static IP on a virtual machine (VM).
I used a virtual credit card (VCC) that I purchased from Aspkin seller. Could be a problem?

Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. what kind of category were you selling in? potentially risky items?
Just trying to clarify since sometimes the suspension message due to a weird unfamiliar account is sometimes just a generic nonsense message |

Just trying to clarify since sometimes the suspension message due to a weird unfamiliar account is sometimes just a generic nonsense message | it is in category of smartwatch accessories. Generic nonsense message? What they are trying to do? Planning to appeal, must be a mistake by amazon. |

It's extremely unlikely that its got anything to do with the goods you sell. The most likely explanation is a link as been made to a service you purchased. The account sellers creations have been linked, the VCC has been compromised or, less likely, the IP is at fault.
In any event, it doesn't matter now. Anyone who knows about Amazons ability to link accounts knows they they are confident they have a meaningful connection. It ain't a 'nonsense message' and they will not re-instate your selling privileges unless you have an extremely good explanation. To make it harder they will not tell you what the link is. You simply cannot plead ignorance, you have to effectively know what the link is, acknowledge it and explain it.
Clearly this is impossible for you. Based upon my experience and similar cases on both this and the main Amazon forums the account is dead. |
| murdered_by_ebay | 07-09-2023 03:06 PM | Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. hank basically summarized it , links from service
most likely similar details were used for multiple accounts , I would not be surprised if the problem was in using the same debit card or phone number on signup as it is cheaper and if any problems occur this will happen some time later and the seller won't be concerned anymore |

I'm with you, the link is most likely with the account creator. |
| degsey69 | 07-09-2023 04:24 PM | Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. Yes it looks like the account creator caused the link, either by an error at creation or what was possibly a good account has been beaten by upgraded security checks. |
| amzrocket | 07-09-2023 08:28 PM | Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. There's no such thing as a "reliable" account creator other than yourself.
Fwiw, I spend around $1000 up front + a few hundred monthly to maintain every Amazon account I create. I do go above and beyond to avoid any kind of link though.
I don't know how much you paid for a pre-made Amazon account, but most likely whoever created it cut corners to lower the costs. Doing things properly is expensive. |

| Beautiful | 07-10-2023 04:05 PM | Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. You can find many people reporting this type of suspension in the amazon seller forums
Majority of the time its an accidental suspension on amazons end that can be reinstated within 24 hours
If you do not recognize the store name its linking you to, appeal with a generally confused/concerned/unhappy but be nice POA and you should be reinstated
This is rarely on the seller of the shop as the shop would fail initial verification if any information has been previously used (the shop would just fail verification and never launch). I've seen this probably 10 times in the last 2 years and 8-9 of those shops were reinstated with a friendly/confused POA
Report back to the thread with the results lets see what happens |

It's got nothing to do with you.
months ago Amazon suspended a ton of accounts for absolutely nonsense.
say your name is Jack Smith and there's an account with the name Bob Smith, and Bob smith has a problem, they'll link your account.
Their bots were on steroids and it was an ongoing problem for about a month for many sellers.
So I'd contact them and see what they can ask of you to prove you have no connection to whatever account it was linked to |
| grach | 07-18-2023 05:09 AM | Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. I appealed, but ultimately got denied reinstatement, and they are asking me to prove that my account has no connection to the store they mentioned, which Amazon associated me with. I'm not sure what this is about, but for the three months leading up to the ban, there were some strange charges made by Amazon using VCC (Virtual Credit Card) for around $30-37 approximately once a month. It's strange because the account always had enough sales to cover any operational expenses for Amazon.
The only thing I changed was the VCC a couple of months ago, which I purchased here on the forum. However, that was before the strange charges started occurring on the original VCC, which had been linked to the account for a couple of years. On the other hand, I think Amazon would have banned me immediately if they had noticed a similarity in cards with another account, rather than waiting for a month or two.
I don't even know what to think or what to provide to Amazon as evidence that I have no connection to another account, as they don't specify the exact parameter they found linking the accounts. |
Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. they always avoid details by claiming their info/method is proprietary - bs |
| murdered_by_ebay | 07-18-2023 09:44 AM | Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. it is a usual practice on amazon to search for associated accounts of a suspended account
most likely one or multiple accounts made by the same seller were suspended so that the system started looking for other similar accounts
it is a mistake to think amazon always search for links on all accounts with all accounts but instead they do it thoroughly once there is a suspended account that serves as starting point for search |

That's weird and doesn't make sense. Which VCC seller is this from?
and did yo utalk to him? |
| grach | 07-18-2023 01:04 PM | Re: Account linked to some other unknown acc. It's from makavi94. I wrote an email to him but never received a helpful response. I also received a private message from another guy who experienced the same kind of issue and purchased a VCC from the same seller. However, even before I purchased a VCC from makavi94, I started receiving strange charges on my VCC. So, it is also possible that this is somehow related to the original creator of the account, but I'm not sure at all. I'm quite certain that it is somehow connected to those unusual charges on the linked VCC, as I thoroughly searched the entire account but had no luck finding those transactions. |

A few hundred in overhead per month is cheap when you're talking about business expenses. A real business generally rents actual office / warehouse space as well, which will cost thousands per month at the minimum.
If you want a sustainable business, trying to focus on making your amazon account expenses as cheap as possible and doing it the easiest way possible (eg. buying an account from a 3rd party instead of making your own) is the absolute wrong way to do it. |

What are the charges for exactly? |

Report back to the thread with the results lets see what happens | You're a funny guy. :pound: :pound:
Why offer up such deliberate bull$hit which any experienced person knows is completely untrue....unless you're trying to defend yourself.
They reported back and as most of us knew the account remains suspended. Permanently unless they identify the link and explain it. |

( were they fees, refunds etc which couldnt be covered by rolling reserve) ' |

It is a common type of wrongful suspension that used to occur a lot more than it does these days.
If you don't believe me, message @Josh who still offers suspension appeals
Back then the most common cause of it was using VPS as systems that accessed shops would have very similar fingerprints/IPs
