Default Anyone seen this as of late?

"SKU does not match any ASIN and the product data provided is not eligible for ASIN creation. Please check 1) your UPC/EAN/GTIN is registered in the G1 tool or 2) ensure brand name used to list the product is the exact brand name or affiliated with the UPC/EAN/GTIN. If these steps did not work please log into your account and search error code 8566 for further information."

Been buying UPC's (EAN's) from speedy barcodes for years. Always worked up until recently.
Started adding new products for the first time in a while, since I manufacture what I sell. First 2 items were fine. After that, no go...

Any workarounds?
Advice?

Thanks

It looks like they want the product registered to the UPC with UCC/GS1-US

I'm surprised Amazon isn't allowing ASINs to be printed on product labels instead of UPCs. I would kind of expect them to even promote that at this point. Especially since Amazon effectively issues ASINs for free I could easily see companies adopting that instead of continuing to pay for the UPC scam.

Any modern POS system can handle barcodes in basically any format as long as every product in the store has a unique barcode. The days of needing all barcodes to follow 1 specific format are over.
