Amazon identity verification, strange issue
So, I'm trying to open a new amazon account and am running into an issue with the identity verification process.
So I fill out the forms, upload the driver license scan + bank statement, then it asks me to do a video verification. I do the video verification and the rep tells me that everything looks good and that all my submitted documents meet the requirements.
Then about 10 minutes after the video verification, I get a (presumably) automated message telling me the ID submitted couldn't be verified (I'm assuming that's the reason for the video verification, since the automated system couldn't verify the ID for whatever reason, hence the reason for the video verification). I double and triple checked that everything matches letter for letter that I input into the form vs what's actually on the ID. The error on the amazon page says
"Provided information needs correction
The information entered does not match the submitted document. Please update provided information and resubmit."
I even downloaded a bunch of ID scanning apps (including one that does verification front and back match) and all of them pass and show that the barcode on the back contains the correct information that matches the front of the ID.
Any ideas on what the problem is here?
