Hi All,
Wanted to share some knowledge about an approach to returns / return addresses for my new
Amazon Stealth accounts.
I have had the problem of not being able to have returns/removal orders to my home address for account linkage reasons. So some of the current options would be using a service, renting a PO box, using the accounts physical address if possible. These are costly, inconvenient, or simply not feasible in some scenarios.
So, after some research I found a service called Canada Post Flex Delivery. While signing up for an account, you enter the stealth accounts name with the address where you would like to receive the returns (this address must match your personal address on your ID). Canada Post will then issue you a unique address at a post office near you. You then use that unique address with the stealth account name as your removal detail/ return address.
When a return comes in, it will be shipped to the unique Canada Post location/address register to your Canada Post account. You will receive an email with a barcode that you can use to pick up the return. You will be required to show your ID to get the package at the post office, however the name does not need to match, only the address. Due to Canada Post policy as long as the address on your ID matches that used to register the stealth account with Canada Post you will get your return.
Example:
Stealth Account Info:
Billy Bob
123 Main St
BC
Your Info:
Ralph Waldo
455 Chester St
Ontario
1. Register for Canada Post Account
Account Registration Details:
Billy Bob
455 Chester St
Ontario
2. Canada Post Issued Unique Address for Return Address
Unique Address:
Billy Bob
9999000 Address
Postal Code of Post of Office
3. Get return email and collect your returns under your ID
This is the method I've been using successfully, extremely convenient if you don't have a physical business location for the stealth account. It's also FREE and you have 2 weeks to pickup the package/have it stored!
Curious to hear others thoughts or criticism with this method. Hopefully it helps out my fellow Canadian Stealths!
