Amazon login issue

Recently cleared my cookies in firefox and now when I login to Amazon it requires a otp sent to my email which passes, but it also sends a pin to my phone, except the number on the account is old. It is a mandatory check it appears. Do you know if it times out if I let it sit for a while then try to login again? IP is the same, browser the same, just the cookies were cleared. This is just an Amazon buyer account

I realize I can just make a new account for purchasing but my existing purchase history will be gone, which I need for taxes as well as reference

Update on this fiasco, called on 3x to clueless customer support and they keep asking what is in my saved for later list - no one uses this so my account is toast. As always, had to do it myself. Used a backup to restore my Firefox cookies site data and cache. Now am logged in and can do everything in the account except modify the old phone number. Perhaps now I can get support to change it. Moral of the story - do backups and do it yourself, no one else will help.
