Default How to find out how much amazon is trying to charge?

My amazon.com CC expired and I went to update with the new card/exp and now I've hit "card invalid" screen.

I have put the card details in exactly as they show on my statement and my account.

Amazon is saying my card is fine but still showing invalid/unable to charge, after speaking with support/internal team I keep getting told there is an outstanding amount owing.

There is money sitting in my amazon.ca account that won't disburse because of this also (I figure anything that was outstanding would get deducted from that first as it always has).

The verification charges are always from amazon.mx and get immediately reversed after completion. My bank says the charges/authorization goes through fine.

I assume it is from advertising on amazon.com but I have no idea what the amount is and I can't get a straight answer and I can't access the dashboard until the card method is valid.

Is there a way to find out what the outstanding amount is? I've tried multiple cards (credit cards not debit) that all have over $250, I can't imagine the amount being over that but if it is I just need to know the amount.

Any help appreciated

Hmmmm....

1. Wait 24 hours after adding a new card. Just to be sure.
If it still doesn't work then you got hit by their newest glitch.

It should work given a little extra time though.

And it shouldn't prevent amazon from taking their fees from your account balance regardless.

I've done the add card waited 24-48 hours, fully deleted all cards, replaced, waited 24 hours still the same result.

What's the "glitch" you are referring to?

Amazon had trouble billing a card 2 weeks ago.

There's no glitch, is the address you're inputting for the card the same as the registered address with Amazon?

Is it a business or sole trader account?

The card that expired was amazon.com/amazon mx and that card had the same address as the registered address. The card for amazon.ca is different and based in Canada and that card has not expired and has been working fine for over a year.

Upon going to update the expired card on amazon.com/mx the whole dashboard locked. All of the verification/authorization charges are coming from amazon.mx

Please explain WHAT kind of card it is. AZ is moving towards only CC's that have a credit limit, not a debit or purchased card.
