Activity: 20% Longevity: 43% | | Trying to get approval to sell a brand on Amazon
So I am still trying to get approved to sell Pearson on Amazon Canada
Seller support told me:
"When a brand is registered by a seller who is the brand owner, he needs to provide all the trademark information to register and protect the brand with Amazon Brand Registry. The team in charge checks the information with them, and they can decide to reject the documentation."
So is every time I am applying to sell Pearson brands and submitting my invoice is Amazon emailing Pearson and Pearson is giving a yay or nay? Or is it an Amazon agent making the decision? I have been rejected about ~12 times over the past few weeks resubmitting the invoice I got from Pearson.

Is that what is going on behind the scenes? Amazon forwards my invoice to Pearson and Pearson gives the yay or nay?
Pearson customer service is similar to Amazon seller support so its been very tedious getting answers out of them. I am continuing to try every day though until I find a solution.

Did you ask Pearson if you can resell on AMZN before you make the purchase?

The manager I spoke to said yes, but what they say is like taking seller supports word for gospel. I think there are hidden rules I got to somehow figure out

When you send your invoice first time usually it's just a bot checking the info and verifying it.
IF it gets rejected multiple times human agent takes the charge and it gets inspected additionally.
Invoice itself also has a list of requirements to be approved by Amazon. So even if you purchased from a distributor but an invoice doesn't fit certain requirements of Amazon -> it gets rejected. So always make sure that your invoice fits all the basic requirements first.
Amazon has a list of authorized supply chain of distributors for each and every brand. So it's not like amazon rep will reach out to the brand directly to ask whether to give you a permission (approval) to sell this brand or not. Amazon is making this decision since you are asking an approval from them just by using an invoice with a purchase of specific branded item.
Amazon has their own info about any brand's supply chain -> you make an application with your invoice -> it gets checked for compliance with their available supply chain for this specific brand -> if it complies you get an approval / if it doesn't they ask you to provide any other invoice;
If you are sure that a) you got your product within authorized supply chain of the brand; b) invoice itself fits all the basic Amazon requirements; and Amazon still keeps on rejecting you applications you should reach out to the brand directly basically yes.
Sometimes just an LOA can work. But brands issue them pretty rarely especially just for one-time purchases.
If Brand is willing to help you to get approved they might just somehow notify amazon that you got the goods from them legitimately and you can be approved to resell on Amazon.

I have submitted the same Pearson invoice (in variations, like highlighting key parts, changing format/name, printing, etc) about 35 times so far and they rejected with the same vague response each time that I am not "eligible". FYI this account is like 8 years old and ive sold 10's of thousands of Pearson products during this time so this approval request popped up recently in the past 1-2 years when I tried to list.
There are dozens of people ive spoken to who never required any approval to sell on Pearson, even newer accounts so I am not sure if there is some sort of whitelist you must get on that Amazon checks for you to sell Pearson items.
Pearson has individual and organizational accounts. The invoices for either account are the exact same. Organizational accounts requires more tedious paperwork that I may or may not be able to provide. Im on first name terms with a manager at Pearson who is unsure if Pearson even issues LOA and is trying to find out.

He should go back to Pearson and ask why ?.like someone pointed out AMZN could have a list of sellers who can sell Pearson products and he is not on the list.
So ask Pearson to ask AMZN to add you to the list or what does it take to be on the list?

So ask Pearson to ask AMZN to add you to the list or what does it take to be on the list? | Well if invoice has an issue it will be rejected every time. That's why the very first step is to always make sure that invoice fits all the basic AMZ requirements. And to help the OP I want to see the invoice and maybe point out some issues if there are any of course.
To be able to sell their products you must be approved by AMZ. I already explained it before in one of my posts here. Sometimes only an invoice is not enough and Brand can issue an LOA but it's always up to a Brand whether to do so depending on the relationships.

I dont know how it works behind the scenes because ill get rejected at like 3 am within 30 mins during the weekend so its not like Amazon is calling Pearson at 3am.
@UngatingBeast
The invoice is find and meets Amazon requirments. I have already verified this 100 times and Seller support's go to boiler plate response.

Ok as you say from your perspective invoice is fine meeting absolutely all the requirements. So let's move to the next part: where did u get the initial product(s) from ? was it from any kind of official distributor ?

You said you have no problem in the past,I wonder if someone file a complaint | if there is a customer authenticity complaint AMZ should do a test buy; if it confirms the issue they send a counterfeit IP complaint and can ask for brand approval on the basis of it yep. but once again the resolution is simple -> viable invoice meeting all the AMZ requirements.

I bought the products from Pearson. Pearson is the brand, I made an account with them and bought directly from them. The invoice is from Pearson. Didn't use a different distributor, bought directly from the source (Pearson).
