Activity: 0% Longevity: 73% | | We are not accepting applications to sell...again
Not sure if Amazon are singling me out or it applies to everyone who is trying to sell a certain product in this category
I deal in Food Supplements
I have been active on Amazon for about 6 months now, my very first product, a supplement was accepted (uploaded health certificates) and is still active to this day. But within that 6 months, 5 other products have been rejected (didn't even get to the point where I could upload certificates)
I tried again today to upload a product I have been working on for the last week
No Novel or banned ingredients, no false claims or anything like that. Simple label and packaging
Just says ''Offer was removed
Request selling approval for policy compliance
Reason: Product requires approval to sell.''
We are not accepting applications to sell:
Other Health & Personal Care category in Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)
Other Human Ingestible products in New, Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)
Getting kind of frustrated, is it because I'm still relatively new seller? Should I start selling products that are not apart of a gated category, and get some history first?

If you have the required documentation this shouldn't be an issue. Have you reached out to Seller Support? I know this is a pain in the ass, but sometimes they can help force through the listing.

They told me before, a few months back to keep checking Quote:

Amazon has many unknown, unclear reasons to reject any product; especialy ingestables.
Why not register and build a brand first and than go to Amazon?
I can see many brands are popping up on social media and they are creating awareness across network that eventually will result in raports and sales.

The very first product I listed successfully on Amazon I listed as Generic, and it got on, and is still on...the others, the same but got rejected.
Amazon is not very transparent when it comes to their reasoning
I contacted my manufacture, and they said other customer are coming to them with the same complaints, they cant get anything on. Quote:

The only thing I like about Amazon is FBA..the fact I can just send them the product and sit back, is nice.
EDIT: I just checked my email, it looks like they want me to upload a certain safety certificate. I have uploaded this specific certificate before with no issues. So I'm hoping now I have a chance
Its weird because on the Seller central ''Manage All Inventory'' it states ''Offer was removed
Request selling approval for policy compliance
Reason: Product requires approval to sell.'' click Request approval
Then ''We are not accepting applications to sell:'' blah blah blah
But then at the same time, they are asking for one of either two certificates. Its like what is stated on the ''Manage All Inventory'' and the email they sent me, contradicts itself.

If there’s no apply to sell button -> Amazon just fully restricted it for you. They won’t let you know the exact reason. It happens every day in every category.
Unfortunately you won’t be able to list these products until Amazon lifts the restriction for it for your account.
Regular seller support won’t help don’t even waste time.
Focus on products you are still able to list and sell.
But being a relatively new seller also plays a big role in selling of vast majority of gated products and categories simply due to the absence of experience.

I don't think its as bad as that.
If you aren't GTIN exempt, submit your safety docs, GS1 and any other information you can provide.
Being in generic isn't the best long term strategy.
Check out brand registry, you can get better reach with A+ content, which you get from starting your own brand for your listings.

If it was only about some certificate there would be a request to upload it directly in the acc not via email.
So unfortunately it looks completely dOoMed.

I agree, generic is not the best way forward long term, once I'm able to get a handful of products listed I would start seriously looking at getting my brand attached to the product Quote:

We're talking about Amazon right?

Update: After having Amazon approve the safety certificate. The listing still showed as inactive. I contacted Amazon and this was they're last message to me
''From your correspondence, I understand your query regarding restrictions on ASIN (redacted).
In response to your question about approval to sell [redacted], we are currently not accepting applications to sell these items. We will not be able to provide any further information at this time.
My manufacture has also told me, that their customers are having difficultly getting new products listed on Amazon

My manufacture has also told me, that their customers are having difficultly getting new products listed on Amazon | As I told here before you were restricted by Amazon. That’s why you are not allowed to list specific ASINS right now. Only Amazon is able to lift this restriction and allow you to list these ASINS again. No other option.
I also told that there’s no way it’s connected solely to some safety certificates or stuff.
That’s unfortunate. But just keep on selling what you are still able to list.
If you are in touch with manufacturer and directly with the brand you can try to ask them what’s happening. Since the brand itself can ask Amazon to put some restrictions on listing specific items or full list of ASINS Under the brand.
If you have solid relationships with the brand they can help you to lift the restriction by simply contacting Amazon and letting them know that you are authorized to resell the items. Just by providing you with an LOA for instance.

There could also be some issues with that particular product AMZN does not feel comfortable with, and it is not telling you .
Does AMZN still ask its sellers to buy insurance?

Yeah nothing with amazon is ever understandable.
Half the time you get an automated response and need to keep on submitting, the other half of the time you get an idiot who doesn't understand any more than the automation does.
