Activity: 0% Longevity: 12% | | $3000 stuck on Amazon
Hi all,
I bought an amazon merch account a long time ago, and never properly added correct banking information. I never checked my account until recently and noticed there is a balance of $3k sitting there which is accruing and has never been withdrawn.
Issue is - The account was set up with similar details to mine, but i used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ (female) name as the first name, and kept my surname accurate.
This will lead to a mismatch when withdrawing right? And then i risk losing the $3k on the account.
What is my best option here?
- Use a Payoneer account (which apparently doesn't share the name)?
- Swap the amazon account into a Corperate account and withdraw via my company banking details?
- Use some other bank?
Many thanks

Do you have access to main banks in the UK? Other ppl will confirm but there are a bunch that accept deposits in stealth names - I use HSBC for UK operations and stealth deposits have always come through...mind you, the HSBC accounts were difficult to obtain (for me outside the UK specifically)

I wonder how bank verifies deposit,do they check the last name only ?
Do they care what the first name is?like Bob instead of Robert,Chuck instead of Charles,Jimmy instead of James?
Jen instead of Jennifer?

Thank you for all the responses.
No the account unfortunately didnt come with $3k on it (I wish). I just uploaded a few shirt designs and one of them appears to have taken off.
I do have access to good high street banks, but will get slapped with a heavy currency exchange rate on them, which isnt the end of the world.
I was under the impression that high street banks did pass the account holders name back to the marketplace, hence why I've avoided them up until now

No no, its Amazon Merch, so you just upload a design and they handle support and fulfillment.
Wouldn't recommend it unless you can get your hands on an account with a high tier. otherwise you'll be limited to 10 designs. I happened to get very lucky with one design
