What is the step by step proccess to avoiding amazon ban? Ok so I taught we should make a simple step by step process on how to get pass a amazon ban. I recently got banned from amazon and am about to start a new account. Here is what I know so far if anyone knows other tips that I'm forgetting please post them so we can all help each other. Also can someone elaborate on why vmware might be helpful?
1) new name
2) new address
3) new ip
4) new bank account
5) cookies deleted |
| TGMT² | 01-27-2010 02:49 PM | So many people on this forum have tried and tried to get back on Amazon after suspension with no success. And many more are claiming they have the secret, and they are the same ones getting booted time and time again.
I have yet to hear about a definitive work around for bypassing Amazons safeguards to getting back on after being suspended.
In my honest opinion it isn't going to happen unless you can use a real persons name that is not associated with you that has good credit, as I feel Amazon is doing a credit check on its members. (Just my opinion)
I am sure lots of other factors come into play just like eBays safeguards which are easy to circumvent. |
Thanks for the advice, I taught people were getting around amazon suspension rather easily or perhaps these people saying there getting around it are lying. |
| captainjack1980 | 01-27-2010 03:21 PM | I was wondering whether Amazon were credit checking sellers after reading about a few peoples problems with getting back on. It does sound likely doesn't it .

Amazon keeps such a short lease on selling (velocity) limits for new sellers that even if you go over it a bit you get booted off without even a "DEAR JOHN" letter.
Amazon's best weapon is not technological its psychological....using a sellers greed against them.
Bottom line...open a lot of accounts with little activity and grow them SLOWLY over time. |

Do you do anything special besides what I posted in my first post also lets say i get on and get banned every 30 days and just keep on making new accounts whats the problem with that? Seeing as I still get my money right? |

Buy the stealth book here since it is excellent & I still use it as a reference.
That is what I do I keep creating new accts. Who cares if I get banned every time since I am 100% guaranteed to get my money after 90 days.
Actually, the people who have the most success don't post/talk since they are too busy selling:) Me???? I just like to jibber jabber;) |
| ovidiu | 01-27-2010 04:22 PM | Amazon does not do credit checks. They never asked you for your SS number. |
| TGMT² | 01-27-2010 04:26 PM | ^^^^ A soft credit check can be done with just a name and address. And if those don't match, You can bet Amazon will be saying "GOODBYE"! |
| TGMT² | 01-27-2010 05:14 PM | I just spent the last half hour researching about credit checks.
I have found almost anybody can do a "Promotional Credit Check" on anybody for free by just having someones name and address. A Promotional Credit Check has a very limited amount of information, but does verify name-to-address.
I am not saying this is what Amazon does? It is just my personal opinion and theory that they do. :noidea: |

| TGMT² | 01-27-2010 09:57 PM | ^^^ Not likely. Some whitepages still have me living in northern California. I haven't lived there since 1996
But Thanks for the random comment? |

5) cookies deleted | These are just a FEW of the items that Amazon tracks on a users account.
There are a few more that get slightly technical.
The ONLY reason my Amazon accounts are currently getting suspended is because I blow the Amazon Velocity Limits on every account.
I can hit the magic daily order limit every time.
I can hit the magic over all order limit with zero feedback in a few days.
I can hit the magic dollar amount with zero feedback in just a few days.
I have figured out how to get accounts up and running.
I just choose to blow the Amazon Velocity Limits on every account.
I get my deposits 30 or 90 days after the account goes down.
No big deal.
If I wanted to NOT blow the Amazon Velocity Limits on every account I could.
I would then keep an account running as long as I wanted to.
Right now I just choose the 30 day - 90 day route.

Like at least 1 or 2 tips that I dont know of that could help me. |
| MadSam | 01-27-2010 11:35 PM | Are you saying Amazon can link you by sales velocity? What is the sales velocity limit for new sellers?
Can Amazon link you by your inventory? |

just used a new random name, new address, new telephone, new card, new laptop.
still going after 10 months, its pretty simple really. |

| ovidiu | 01-29-2010 03:15 PM | True. I agree that hitting the velocity limit is a red flag. Why would a (supposedly) totally new seller started selling like mad and acting like he knows what he's doing. There were several discussions about this on eBay too, but Amazon looks more closely. |
| dburnside | 02-03-2010 03:11 PM | i keep getting refused on amazon, when i add credit card it says postcode not valid even tho it is |
| terrytibbs | 02-03-2010 04:07 PM | what kind of card are you using. you might want to use a pm. |
| ThinkTank | 02-05-2010 04:00 PM | Im trying to find some answers out, I've searched and still have a few questions, hopefully someone can answer them.
1.This seems to be about 50-50 every forum i check, do you really need a new computer? "AS" says you need to change out your NIC adaptor, but what if you use a laptop? Wireless internet, I've never even used the ethernet port, do I really need to worry about that? Its a laptop so I'm probably not going to be able to change that, I would prefer not to get a new computer if possible.
2. Do I really need a new router? I understand that I will have to go to my internet provider and ask for a new cable modem as I have a static IP address, but that should do it right? Why a router as well?
3. Everyone on here seems to be talking about gift cards only, I don't see anybody talking about setting up the new bank account. How are you people doing this if you don't have a family member or friend to go through? I have a business license and would prefer to just go open a new business checking account with my bank under the business name (obviously I will be changing my business license and sales permit name from the prior business name which was my old amazon account name), will that work even though the account will have my address linked to it? And if this does work, can't I just use the debit card they give me, or do i still need to get a gift credit card?
Thanks in advance for all your help, really trying to get back on as soon as possible. |
| Amazombie | 02-05-2010 04:17 PM | Buy Stealth Book on this forum & u get it free by using
1. Create New Windows logon.
2. If you didn't keep track of ur old ips I suggest using dial up acct.
3. Most major banks will give u several bank accts. eith different # under same acct.
4. U need a new cc with stealth name/address so gc's r best option
5. Buy Stealth Book on this forum & u get it free by using trialpay. |
| TonyP | 02-14-2010 04:41 PM | I have been banned at my current address and is desperately trying to get back on to selling with amazon uk.
This is what I am going to do:
1: Use my Step Dad's new laptop & borrow his debit/credit card info
2: Borrow an USB dongle that connects to the internet from a family member
3: Take them both to my Nan's house
4: I will be using my Nan's address as billing/delivery address and phone number there for verification, then use my Step Dad's debit/card info with his full name
5: Submit and hope my registration gets accepted
By doing the above, will I successfully get back to selling on amazon?
Do I need to put my Step Dad's name on the card or can I make a name up, like a business name?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

Thanks | I did the following (except using another computer) and I successfully made a stealth account!
I did it on the computer I have been banned from. I just disabled the Network Adaptors in Device Manager and used the USB stick to connect to the internet. I used a different address and card info, used a Skype number for verification (must use a mic) and got accepted!
Now I got to figure out about adding a bank account so I can withdraw my funds from Amazon... |

If someone just hands you the answers to life on every issue you would never learn anything. | I'm not really understanding this. I'm new to the Amazon game and am about to start redirecting my business from ebay to Amazon. What are you doing to get kicked off? I'm not understanding this velocity ban? Is Amazon kicking people off for selling too many items? Are you paying the $299/month for the amazon seller account? |
| Here We Go Again | 02-16-2010 06:16 PM | ^^^^^^^^^^^
If you sell TO many items TO fast your account will get suspended.
Where are you coming up with the $299/month seller account?
I either do the free (minus fees) seller account or the Pro Merchant account. |

| maxsd | 02-18-2010 03:14 PM | Once I used to sell around one week and got suspended withing salary 5000-6000
Then I used to sell around one week and got suspended withing salary 500-600
seems that amazon do not using sales volume as a criteria to prevent fraud. |
| Recherché | 02-19-2010 12:45 PM | Adding bank account is simple. Just make sure it won't be linked to any current or previous/suspended accounts. Nothing complicated. Quote:

I just did 900 dollars in sales in three days, and they just called me to say "hey what's up?" Easiest phone call I've ever had compared to ebay or paypal. They said the funds will be held for 30 days, or until I get positive feedback. Fine with me :) It might get kicked soon.... but I'm not sure why as long as my customers are happy. |
| Hercules | 02-20-2010 02:52 PM | It's everything with amazon. When I first started a long time ago acc I sold these expensive old books and they would sit and sit and then bam 940 bucks in sales in 3 days. Not a peep from Amazon. They know what catagories to watch....... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:28 PM. | |
