On the contrary, I think that Ebay and Amazon would LOVE to send all of their questionable Sellers over to the Other.
As far as a third party Company Gathering Suspended Account information, and Selling it to them--Possible---I Never heard of any, But then again I never looked for any, I will spend so time to see if such a Company exists, and I will update this thread if I Find anything. | I agree. I doubty that either company would want to take a risk of having the number of suspended accounts being made public. The question would then be raised, "why did those users have accounts in the first place"?
Any time you send your internal data outside the company, you have a risk of it leaking out. You can have all the confidentiality agreements you want, but there is STILL a risk.
Amazon has a great reputation. They would not want to risk it.
eBay, not so much, but they still have always claimed that fraud made up a tiny fraction of one percent of all site activity. I doubt they would want to see actual numbers attached to that. Can you imagine what would happen if it was known that they suspended 5,864 (whatever the number is) accounts in June, 2010? And whats more, that they have hired an outside company to help them control it? It may be a tiny percentage of overall users, but those numbers could easily be manipulated by reporters looking for a story.
