Amazon Pro Merchant is it worth upgrading?

wondering if the amazon ghost tactics work as well on the pro merchant accounts? and if its better to upgrade i individually sell things. but was thinking i cant always sell allot of stuff because there has to be a "Sell it Here" and allot of times there isnt for the item that i want to sell and i hear that pro merchants make there own listings and sell what ever they want.... any suggestions ???:noidea:

Well, Pro Merchants CAN add to the catalog, by UPC code. But if you try to use it to list a product that Amazon has restricted, they will block your account when they discover it.

A Pro Merchant account has 3 main advantages. You can add products, you can bulk upload products and you save the $1 fee per sale they charge on top of the commission. So it is worth it if you have a lot of products to list, or if you sell more than 40 items per month.

But it won't stop them from banning you if you break the rules.

If your items are higher priced, it may be worth it to create new listings for them. Otherwise you should have more than 40 items selling per month to bother. You can upgrade and downgrade whenever you want, it's not a contract but it will become effective at the next billing cycle.

The only drawback I've noticed is that annoying percentage in the top corner of the screen with a note informing you your listings are not correct. Strangely they are not all your listings, they suddenly become yours if all you do is add a photo

Even when the listing is complete I have to click "fix this"then it often reads you or someone else must've added the information already which I already knew because often it was my listing and I knew it was done right the first time

It appears Amazon hired a bunch of ignorant kids who were paid per listing. Maybe they inserted the bare minimum of info (which is often incorrect) because many of their product listings are screwed up. Free labor for Amazon if they keep bothering the Pro Merchants to do it for them

Yes the tactics are the same for pro merchants, also keep in mind creating new products isn't always such a great thing cause your search ranking will be low.
