If your items are higher priced, it may be worth it to create new listings for them. Otherwise you should have more than 40 items selling per month to bother. You can upgrade and downgrade whenever you want, it's not a contract but it will become effective at the next billing cycle.
The only drawback I've noticed is that annoying percentage in the top corner of the screen with a note informing you your listings are not correct. Strangely they are not all your listings, they suddenly become yours if all you do is add a photo
Even when the listing is complete I have to click "fix this"then it often reads you or someone else must've added the information already which I already knew because often it was my listing and I knew it was done right the first time
It appears Amazon hired a bunch of ignorant kids who were paid per listing. Maybe they inserted the bare minimum of info (which is often incorrect) because many of their product listings are screwed up. Free labor for Amazon if they keep bothering the Pro Merchants to do it for them
