When I registered a seller account on Amazon, I got Error (2). Anyone here has experienced this before? How would this happen? Thank you for your comments

I am assuming you received:

ERROR(2)
Your application to register as a merchant on Amazon.com has been declined.

Our review is a proprietary process, and we cannot share the reasons for failed applications, nor the criteria by which applications are evaluated
This usually happens when you use linking information, such as an address, phone number, or credit card that was used on a previous suspended account.

They have linked either information you used to create the new account, or maybe your same IP address to a previous suspended account.

If you get a chance buy the Amazon Ghost and it will help you out.

I think the IP was the problem. Thank you for pointing it out.

That happened to me once in the 15+ Amazon accounts I created. What did me in was that I used IP address from another city that was more than 50 miles away. Now, I only use IP address within 10 miles of where I live.

Dont know why you guys have problems. I create accounts in all the surrounding States and haven't had any problems.

Where your IP address geolocates means nothing. Period. Amazon suspected you for some other reason. Remember, they can suspend you just for not liking your first & last name, if so they wish.
