If I start a new account and I only sell a few items at first, wait for my payment(to make sure they pay me), then next month I sell $700 worth of goods, what are the chances that Amazon will lock up my account?
If $750 is the velocity limit, and I stay under it every month, I should be fine, right?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
I cannot guarantee you it is true for everybody but I stayed for the first 2 months under 700.
I got some reviews now (about 17) and I still stay under a 1000. Better safe then sorry.
Also make sure you check DAILY your performance summary. The last 30 day it what matters.
my .com site has just been hit with a review opened it 13 days ago and has made £1000 about $1600 the problem is i listed things 20% more than everyone else and the items sold so i had to ship.
been told i have a 7 day rolling hold on funds so will see what happens
mine wasn't $750, it was closer to when I hit the $600 mark maybe $550. The initial review that is. Have been fine selling any amount since then. I can grab my initial numbers tomorrow and ill let you know the first month and when it happened.
I now have seven 5 star ratings out of seven sales and I've been selling inexpensive items. Not bad for my first month? I had to request and send messages to the buyers(one I asked twice). Seems as long as I ship quickly, they stay satisfied. But I still have to nag for that rating.
How much can I sell now without running into a review/freeze-up?
i would really like to know the answer to the above question too. i recently had my account suspended for failing amazon seller review in the first month. I had roughly $1300 in sales (this is before i bought the book and found out about the seller limit)
I'll tell you the weekly amount doesn't matter. I opened up a few accounts. First one sold $650 in one day and then I haven't touched it, everything is fine. 2nd account I sold around $680-$720 in one day (it can be tricky with all the shipping fees and stuff and pending orders to make a precise number) and it got sent into review. So $750 is an estimate, I would stay under $700 for a month or two... but don't worry if you sell in one day or 4 weeks, just watch that 'last 30 days' counter.
