Default Gift card to use on amazon

So i got this visa gift card, but the question is how often will amazon bill me and for what? Because i only filled the card with $100 so if they try to bill me the monthly charge for being premium merchant, the card will decline by the 3rd time unless they debit the $ from my amazon sales revenues.

Note: I will be using the card to setup the Amazon Stealth account.

Your feedback is appreciated,

They DO debit the fees from your sales but they do a test charge from time to time.

Exactly right. You will notice a $1 authorization placed on your gift card from time to time, usually just before they are about to disburse funds. I leave $5 on each gift card I use and just put it away.

quick question jeff were do you find the gift cards that you can put $5 in them i been using the vanilla gift cards but the minimum is 20 including a 5 dollar fee, it kind of sucks because i dont need that much in the card because amazon only charges that $1 buck...

Exactly right. The minimum ones I know of are $25 + the service fee. I just spend the $20 for lunch, or at the store, and leave the $5 remaining.

Most of the time, if you ask a cashier to charge $20 to the gift card and give them the rest in cash, they are fine with it. Or, go into a gas station and PAY FIRST asking them to charge $20 to the gift card for gas. The key is to pay first, otherwise it will try to authorize more money and the pump won't automatically stop at $20.

Think about everyhing you buy in the course of a day... There are PLENTY of opportunities to spend gift card $$$ easily.

isn't there an expiration date on those vanilla cards? I mean if you leave 5 bucks on the card and put it away for AZ to charge on it once in a while... wouldn't it get expired eventually without usage?

Has anyone really had experience with amazon charging their card even after the initial setup of the account? What do they do if all the money in your card is used up?

i just dug a "Card Holder Agreement" out of the garbage and it doesn't mention anything about an annual fee...

on the back of the cardboard package the card comes in, it states in big red letters, "NO Fees After Purchase"...so i really don't think they could put that and then try to collect any annual fees going forward...

hope this helps and good luck!!

Do those of us not living in the U.S. then depend on gift card providers to get gift cards?
