But doesn't the money get released after 120 days no matter what? I've never heard of anyone getting their money kept permanently by Amazon, but still, having to wait 4 months sucks.

AMAZON ACCOUNT TYPES

There is a difference between a Suspended Account and a Suspended & Blocked Account and a Deleted Account.

A Suspended Account:
Usually a 30 day suspension
Does not have Selling privileges
Yes you can still log into your account
You can not withdraw your money
Your account may be reinstated if there are a low number of A to Z's
Your account may be reinstated if you receive some good feedback.
This is very SELDOM the case now days

A Suspended & Blocked Account
Your account will have the little yellow box at the top stating that your account was suspended.
You do not have any selling privileges
You can still log into your account
Your money is locked up for 90 to 104 days from the DATE you received the Blocked Account email from Amazon
Your account has almost NO chance of ever being reinstated
Be sure to wait to add your checking account number to you account until the 90 - 104 days are up.
Then add the checking account and take your disbursement all when you log back in after the 90 - 104 days.

A Deleted Account
You can no longer log into your account at all.
You can go through the "Change Password" circle and still NOT get back into your account.
Your money has been stolen by Amazon.
You MIGHT get it back by check if you are one of the lucky ones (don't count on it though)
Your account will never be reinstated.
Your emails will almost never be answered even though Amazon says they will.

..
I personally have lost over $12K this year alone due to the dreaded Deleted Account Syndrome.
I have yet to find a cure once the account has contracted the disease.
So as far as I can tell the dreaded Deleted Account Syndrome is quite fatal.

Since I had not used the account to sell anything I just acted like a stupid buyer wanting to buy something, and contacted the live chat on amazon, They told me that my account was on hold most likely due to them 'being unable to verify billing address or incomplete billing information', at this point I just said that it could possibly be because the building is a new building and I am one of the first people to move in here (I messed up with the address, real road but I picked a house number that dont exist), the live chat then said that they could pass the matter on and my account should be restored within 24 hours, and then asked for a phone number , Stuck the sim in my phone and hoping for the best, will post the outcome here

take advantage of their liberal refund policy, as long as you order directly from amazon and not a third-party seller i see nothing wrong with it

seems like a VCC issue! Are you using vcc's to verify your accounts?

Yea but I've used VCCs from the same seller on all 7-8 of my accounts and apart from the ones banned for the usual bs amazon reasons theyve been fine

Just got this:

Greetings from Amazon.

After reviewing your account and the information you have provided, we have decided to reinstate your Amazon.co.uk selling privileges. The hold on the funds in your seller account has been removed.

For performance improvement tips, search on “Seller Best Practices” in seller Help. Please note that if your performance does not improve, your selling privileges may be permanently removed.

Welcome back to selling on Amazon.co.uk; we wish you the best of luck.

Regards,

Seller Performance

I noticed seller service reps weren't to bright so today I placed a call about one of my accounts and I asked a few questions that might help us. So I asked a few random questions so he wouldn't get to suspicious. This is what he said amazon has updated their systems and people were getting charged $1 randomly to verify If credit card is valid. So I don't no what amazon has updated in their system but anyone that thought vcc was a reason you were right.

I'm not too convinced on VCCs being a issue, out of 9 accounts made in the last 12 months made with VCCs, 7 of them are still fine including 2 that have lasted the whole year, however the 2 that got banned were both ⊗⊗⊗⊗ addresses (Not completely ⊗⊗⊗⊗ just house numbers that didnt exist), two of them have also passed 3rd reviews with the vcc being out of date by then
