Please explain the "rolling reserve" I still do not understand what people are talking about when they refer to a "rolling reserve".
I don't believe I have ever had a reserve, at least not that I have known of.
According to Amazon.com, reasons for a reserve..
"Amazon.com is currently processing one or more A-to-z Guarantee claims against a seller's transactions at Amazon.com. Claims may take 14 days to process or Amazon has received an A-to-z Guarantee claim against a seller's transactions at Amazon.com within the past 30 days.
Amazon.com is currently processing chargeback(s) filed by buyer(s) to their credit card company against a sales transaction at Amazon.com or Amazon has received chargebacks against a seller's transactions at Amazon.com within the past 30 days.
Based on information available to Amazon.com, we reasonably conclude that the seller's actions or performance may result in buyer disputes, chargeback(s) or other claims against their sales transactions at Amazon.com."
If I sell $200 worth of items in my first month of a new account and have no problems with buyers, will I actually get that full $200 deposited into my account?
What if I sell $400 and have no problems?
Is a reserve only for those that can't keep their customers happy?
I have only had one customer complain after hundreds and hundreds of filled orders. |
| Rippedoffagain | 03-01-2012 01:20 AM | As they say in their email You are on a rolling reserve. 14 days from the day you signed up. then they hold your funds for 21 days. Then on the 22nd day they pay you for the first 14 days that you sold . Now the scam
they actually only pay you for the (1st) 7 days then hold the other 7 in reserve! They do not tell you this. Then from their the next 7th day on your payout you will be paid for the 7 days they held. and then it keeps revolving like that. You will never get a full payout..
This is my understanding. Any one else can chime in if I am wrong.. |
What if I have been selling for 6 weeks+, have no A-Z claims, have positive feedback, and then request a disbursement...would I get paid the full payout, or would they still hold some funds until I sell more? |
| kev59 | 03-01-2012 04:56 PM | Hi I can tell you like this the reserve is a bunch of BS!! Really. But they do pay but now Amazon to me is like a 9-5 JOB....because we have to work 2 weeks in a whole before you get paid. Its really frustrating but like I said the only good thing is the time when they "FINALLY" Disburse has been shorten by 1 day. EX: My disbursements happen every Friday and by Midnight Sunday my funds have arrived to my Bank.
Been on since Dec, 2011. Made a nice steady 20K Plus to the day (3/1). Have gotten 13K from them on their weekly basis crap. Just watching my funds growing though. As of 2/28 their was $6,408 in my RESERVE. After sales this week I have $7218 in RESERVE. So I never know what they will give me from week to week. Will buckle down and really see if I am getting all my preceding sales from 14 days ago though cuz I declare it seems off. But as of right now my current balance is a whopping "0" while the $7218 sits in reserve. Amazon is full of it because they even skipped a week and sent me a message stating "DISBURSEMENT FAILED" when there was over $4000 in my RESERVE. So we are literally on their clock now and they are really in 100% Control of all MONIES!! |
| Rippedoffagain | 03-01-2012 06:40 PM | I see there will always be money in reserve we will never get a full payout. The way kev59 says Failed Disbursement Makes me wonder if the small guys like myself will be suspended ... |
| Rippedoffagain | 03-02-2012 12:18 AM | here is what i received from them. as you read through they sneak little changes in. The policy changed from when you signed up..
I would like to explain how disbursement works for our sellers like you, this
information should help you understand why money is reserved and when will this
reserve released. As per the new disbursement policy, we reserve 14 days worth
of funds, that are deposited in your account 14 days prior to disbursement date.
For example - If a seller registers on January 1, 2011. First settlement date in
your selling account might show up as January 15th, please note that with 14
days reserve policy, whenever disbursement is scheduled - we hold previous 14
days worth of funds and therefore sellers would not receive any funds in January
15th settlement.
At this point next settlement date for the seller would be on January 22nd, on this date sellers would receive funds for sales made between January 1st and
January 7th. Please note that again 14 day reserve holds good and from January
22nd last 14 day funds that is January 7th to January 22nd funds will be held as
reserve. Likewise at every settlement, past 14 days funds will be held in your
selling account. "They did not say this when we signed up" It says 14 days of funds not 7 Sneaky BAST@rds!!!!So we are really not getting paid for close to 30 days!
Also, please note that once an order completes its 14 days reserve period it
becomes eligible for payment and this payment will be disbursed on your
settlement date accordingly.
The reserve amount reflects orders confirmed as shipped during the 14 days
immediately preceding each settlement date, as per our policy on disbursements
for sellers on the Individual selling plan. In the similar manner the payments
were put for hold 14 days and this made for disbursement failure in payments on
last settlement date in your account.
Also know that any orders confirmed in any particular settlement period would be
put in reserve for 14 days and after completion of this reserve period the
amount will be disbursed on settlement date which comes immediately after this
reserve.
then it goes on saying that they are going to disburse my reserved funds . It seems like it will be the full amount but it will not be they sneak some more sh!t and twist it around. They actually made this fkn confusing to trip you up. so you can't understand it.
more to scam us sellers I say... |
| kev59 | 03-02-2012 03:19 PM | Ok I am back guys because its Friday (3/2) and its "DISBURSEMENT" Day. Remember I had $7K in my Account but "Current Balance" was "0". Well this morning my Balance has changed from "0" to $1581.00(DUE TO BE DISBURSED...I Guess....TODAY)?? Amazon changes this every second on the second. For all I know it could go back to "0" before Disbursement Time which happens around 10PM PST. Even though that $1581 out of $7K ain't SH__!! But will keep you updated. Ok now is a good time for me to figure out just how they arrived at this figure and see what sales took place 14 days ago and do they in fact add up to the $1581. |
I'm sorry, but I still don't understand.
In my account(that I have not sold anything on in a year...so maybe things have changed), everytime I sell an item and click the "shipped" button after choosing the USPS option from the dropdown, the money goes straight into my account balance, and I am able to click the "Disburse Now" button and then shortly after I get an email letting me know that they have initiated the transaction.
Are these accounts with reserves...problem accounts? Are there A-Z claims on them, or are they just new accounts with no feedback?
According to Amazon(as I quoted above), a reserve ammount has to do with A-Z claims. |
...except for the last part..
"Based on information available to Amazon.com, we reasonably conclude that the seller's actions or performance may result in buyer disputes, chargeback(s) or other claims against their sales transactions at Amazon.com"
...what makes Amazon conclude this? lol Seems like they are talking about people selling "shady" items like "used electronics" or items where quality is a factor(coins and collectibles).
Basically, what I want to know, is if a legit seller sells items and receives positive feedback for 6-8 weeks straight without going into a review, does that seller have a reserve? |
| Rippedoffagain | 03-03-2012 09:01 PM | Old accounts do not go into rolling reserves. It was the new accounts as of jan. |
| kev59 | 03-04-2012 02:44 AM | As of Jan/2012...All Rules for Amazon DISBURSEMENTS have Changed. If you are under the old Amazon Rules then right now you are safe and can Disburse Daily as usual(but from the information I have gathered this will be short-lived and that eventually everyone will be transferred over to the new RULE SYSTEM of DISBURSEMENTS)!! As of now on my new accounts there is no more Disbursement Button. They do it for you every week but only for sales 14 days back. So like I said its like a regular job now you know...you work two weeks but do not see the pay for another two weeks or so which totals 4 weeks before you get paid. This is what Amazon is doing now.
Also to recap my pay-out for Friday. My Available Funds jumped up hours before the Disbursement was due to $3100+ so I'm Happy but still have over 4K left in RESERVE. So Reserve is not just for AZ Claims or other stuff now....its actually all your money you've made from sales and whatever Amazon feels like paying you..... that is what you get out of your RESERVE for the week?? Then they invite you just to gaze at your remaining money that's in RESERVE until the process repeats itself like this every week!! LOL |
| alwaystrying | 03-06-2012 06:03 PM | yep scamming the seller keep selling and make us(Amazon) more money while we give you your allowance .Oh you have bills to pay Tough sh!t keep selling... Oh you sold 4000 dollars Here is 50.00 keep selling... |

What happens if I stop selling completely, will I get paid after the 14 days, or will Amazon keep those funds until I sell more?
Is the payment automatically every week now and without the "Request Disbursement" button? |
