Do you need to accept returns?
 
First time on amazon. I dont have a return policy(my mistake) but a buyer just returned a laptop saying a defective lose sound plug. I dont see anything wrong with it execpt the build in that it is a 250$ acer laptop. But it does work unlike what he said.

Do I have to issue the refund? Can I issue a partial refund since Im stuck with a used laptop now?

You must accept returns. You are normally allowed a restocking fee, but in this case since the item was partially damaged, the customer is eligible for a full refund. If they were to file an A-Z claim, amazon would refund them in full.

When you decide on the repercussions of not giving a refund to a buyer who may file a claim, you might want to revisit this policy....

'Broken' lappies can still make money. Strip for parts, paint it & make it a doorstop for someone...

it could be the way the buyer handles the laptop and thinks it is lose but you can still sell it and get your money back. Always make a policy when you can issue refunds and take returns back.

On Amazon, they love returns, you need to refund that buyer or get a solution.
